Made my first eBay sale, buyer is from US and due to import fees/taxes refused the delivery

Am I going to be stuck paying the import fess + return shipping and ALSO refunding the buyer??

(This was my first sale ever on eBay, so limited knowledge on this whole process)
When I listed the item I chose the cheapest US shipping option which was Canada Post, but after found out it’s not an available option through eBay right now… Ended up using UPS (which was double the cost the buyer paid for shipping).

On delivery UPS was charging the buyer 46.82$ USD (more than the whole purchase itself) in import fees. Buyer messaged me saying they won’t be paying that and tracking info now says return to sender has been requested.

I’m worried now, am I going to be left with having to pay the import fees and the return shipping? My earnings from this order ended up being 19.45$ CAD and if I have to pay I’m going to be at a big loss lmao

Poshmark increased the under 20$ fee to 4.00$

I had an order 2 days ago that was still the 3.95$ fee, but on an order made today it’s now 4.00$.
I’m curious to know if the 20% on orders 21$+ has changed?

New Purolator pick up shipping label weight says 2LB?

I had 2 orders that chose Purolator pick up but noticed the weight on both labels said only 2LB? I had 3 regular shipping orders and those Purolator labels had the regular 6LB.
Is this like the Canada post label that says 0.75kg but can be up to 2.5kg?
