Envelopes or padded envelopes
What is the cheapest way to ship small items such as mini logos or coins…etc
Currently I’m using stallion express for larger items and happy with them but who should I use for small padded envelopes ?

Like seriously, what is going on with these prices. It's like Canada Post doesn't WANT me to sell on ebay anymore? Shipping labels for small boxes were like $7 a couple years ago, then last year they were always around $8-$8.5. NOW they're consistently $9+. Have a cheap item I'm shipping in a small box, $9.41!? WTF. It's impossible to make any money with that because buyers don't want to buy an item if shipping costs $10 because don't forget Ebay fees. Sold an item $4.90+$8=$12.90 - $2.29 ebay fees -$9.41 , I made a whopping $1.21, and I paid $0.80 for the toy so woo hoo I profited but like, this isn't worth all the work and trouble if Canada Post keeps jacking up the prices. Next year it'll be $10-$11!!
Hi,
Before the new 50% tariffs take effect tomorrow, would it make more sense to bulk edit listings to remove US shipping (or just exclude the US on your account?), or just jack up flat fee shipping to the US to a restrictively high amount?
The reason I ask is that I do not want to limit my visibility to Canadian buyers who are using .com rather than .ca. Does anyone know if we lose relevant Canadian clicks by our listings no longer being on .com?
Thank you.
Speed matters when you’re competing for newly listed inventory obviously. But there’s a point where more alerts just becomes more noise. If you’re tracking hundreds of products, even a fairly targeted search can pull in weird titles, wrong models, parts, bad conditions, overpriced listings, etc. I relised you end up spending more time qualifying alerts than actually buying. Curious how other high-volume buyers handle this. Do you keep searches really narrow and risk missing oddly listed items, or search wider and use filters/rules to sort out the junk afterward?
So i started my reselling journey in Oct of 2025 starting with ebay. i did some good numbers considering i have access to huge inventory. Then in January 2026 i started poshmark and since then i gross more on poshmark than ebay every month even though my ebay account is older and poshmark is limited to canada only. Its actually a 75-25 split in terms of order numbers. Am i doing something wrong on ebay?
Just wondering if there’s any difference in shipping cost for buyers on records when using EIS versus a standard USPS tracked package to the U.S.
I’ve been offering both options on all of my records, but I’m thinking of only offering EIS because eBay’s pricing for it to U.S. destinations seems fair for records, from what I can see
Hey, was wondering if anyone who uses Stallion and ships to South America has good experience keeping the sale money? Ive had multiple buyers from the US refuse orders this month because of tariffs, so just gonna only use ebays shipping hub for the US and focus on SA and Canada.
Ive started using Stallion for tracked shipping to SA, before that I was using non tracked air with Canada post, half or more of the packages had to be refunded for INR requests, most of them submitted the same day the buyer was able to, not even waiting a single day past their estimated shipping time, which I dont think ive seen a single Canada post international package arrive on time.
Have ya'll had better luck with PostNL and APC tracked to that region? Ik it can be unpredictable but is the shipping estimated with them at least somewhat accurate?
Not sure if this is the best sub to post this in but here goes:
I have been interested in sourcing items from value village, salvation army, and Plato's closet. But is there anything ever good here? I feel like Plato's closet is super expensive, and the other two I usually find nothing that's worth a resell especially on Ebay.
Does anyone here source by thrifting? And what are some items to look out for?
my accountant has never dealt with ebay before, what forms should i be asking for from ebay to prove that the HST collected on my behalf was remitted so that I can finish my very late tax return.
Has anyone had experience with this?
How’s everyone’s sales to the U.S been lately? My last sale to the U.S was June 30th.Even in the summer I always have about 20 sales a month to the U.S.Nothing since June 30th on eBay but I’m still selling lots to the U.S on Etsy
I am a small-time Canadian seller for the past year on ebay...just selling things around the house. For the past year, anything I've sold to the States went through the Mississauga hub. Today's order says to ship straight to Florida even though I am still enrolled in EIS. It's only a $27 order for bookmarks so can't be a big deal but does anyone have any idea why it doesn't say to ship to the Mississauga address?
*I mean to hopefully avoid refused packages...
New Section 338 tariffs take effect at 12:01 a.m. ET on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
Three presidential proclamations issued July 20 are behind this change, each invoking Section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930 to apply an additional 50% ad valorem duty on specified products of Canada. Each is presented as a response to Canadian trade practices in a specific sector — dairy, alcoholic beverages, or motor vehicles — but the actual list of affected goods reaches far beyond those three categories, extending into wood products, plastics, paper and packaging, furniture, apparel, electronics, sporting goods, and cosmetics.
What to keep in mind before August 19
CUSMA/USMCA does not exempt covered goods. The additional duty applies whether or not the goods qualify under CUSMA. Goods currently entering duty-free on a valid CUSMA claim will still owe the extra 50%. A valid CUSMA claim (or TPL for certain apparel products) is still required to avoid the regular duty.
The duty stacks. The new rate applies on top of the duty already owed under the regular HTS subheading, along with any other applicable duties, taxes, and fees.
Exclusions are narrow. Energy products, potash, fish, and critical minerals are excluded, as are articles already subject to Section 232 duties, such as steel, aluminum, copper, automobiles and parts, and lumber, which continue to pay their existing Section 232 rates instead.
Hey!
Just had a quick question, UPS shipping to the US is super cheap, i know the buyer gets hit with a bunch of fees, but is there any risk to the seller?
Like would I need to pay anything if the buyer refuses or gets upset at the duty fees?
Would I be able to remove any negative feedback led from the lack of knowledge of buyers not know what the orange man did?
Thanks!
I have 35 listings ranging from clothes, shoes, houseware, car parts, tech accessories on Marketplace and eBay and so far only have 2 sales since May. From June to this day, I only had 1 sale. My items are either brand new or very lightly used, marked 30%-40% cheaper than retail prices. Is the problem my pricing or the summer slump as bad as they say? Kept renewing my listing, deleting and relisting, promoting but nothing works.
Listed 50 items (used clothing) and got so much attention. Things were going great. Sold my first item on the 4th and the very next day, traffic completely fell off.
I received an email right after stating "your funds will be avaliable for payout once we receive delivery confirmation". They detected unusual selling activity.
Shipped the item and completed it. Sold a second item on the 7th from a watcher and it also got completed. Received both payouts. However, my traffic hasn't really recovered even with promoted listings enabled + 80 more items added.
Both orders delivered successfully but still no reviews. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!
Am I going to be stuck paying the import fess + return shipping and ALSO refunding the buyer??
…
(This was my first sale ever on eBay, so limited knowledge on this whole process)
When I listed the item I chose the cheapest US shipping option which was Canada Post, but after found out it’s not an available option through eBay right now… Ended up using UPS (which was double the cost the buyer paid for shipping).
On delivery UPS was charging the buyer 46.82$ USD (more than the whole purchase itself) in import fees. Buyer messaged me saying they won’t be paying that and tracking info now says return to sender has been requested.
I’m worried now, am I going to be left with having to pay the import fees and the return shipping? My earnings from this order ended up being 19.45$ CAD and if I have to pay I’m going to be at a big loss lmao
It's a little ridiculous at this point to hear all of the people STILL complaining about having issues shipping to the US.
These tariff changes have been in play for almost a year now. If you as a seller are still having issues shipping, that is a you problem.
I hate it as much as the next seller but we've all had a lot of time to research all of the issues with it and how to get around it, if you still choose to ship to the United States.
Imo, it's honestly pretty straightforward to use Zonos through Canada Post. You can easily get an idea of exactly how much you'll pay in tariffs from selling whatever product and then just add that to the shipping cost. If the buyer is still willing, then great, no problem.
If you choose to use UPS and didn't do your research finding out the will still charge a brokerage fee then that's on you, as the seller, not the buyer.
Reselling is a business, and like any business there are ins and outs. It is our responsibility as a seller to learn those. If you choose not to do your research and come into problems because of it then learn from your mistake and continue on.
End rant
So pretty much the title says it all. Anyone else completely fed up and tired of receiving messages on ebay from americans complaining about tariffs and import fee's and then getting really aggressive when you explain simply that this is because of the tariffs their government put in place.
Its like they cannot comprehend what a tariff is and they think its "shipping" Im honestly over it, and have had hundreds of messages sounding the same even after I put it in huge red letters with a massive disclaimer in all my listings!
Rant over.
Anyone else in the same boat?
TITLE and I just wanted some opinions.
