Records and USA EIS

Just wondering if there’s any difference in shipping cost for buyers on records when using EIS versus a standard USPS tracked package to the U.S.

I’ve been offering both options on all of my records, but I’m thinking of only offering EIS because eBay’s pricing for it to U.S. destinations seems fair for records, from what I can see

Looking for "The Toilet" (1980) NFB short film

Does anyone have a link to "The Toilet" (1980) by Joan LeMay?

It's the Canadian NFB animated short about a kid who's scared of the toilet and gets flushed down it.

All the links I found are taken down. The NFB site and YouTube video don't work for me.

I'm in Canada. Anyone know where I can watch it?

Scott Jennings pranked?

He’s either lying or he was Pranked by Matt Friend. there’s no way he was speaking to Mitch McConnell who’s laying there in a coma. why does CNN allow this guy to blow smoke up our asses night after night?

Something fishy at value Village with video games. Greater Toronto area/Durham

I’ve been thrifting Value Village locations across Durham Region, specifically Ajax, Pickering, Whitby, and Oshawa, for years. Video games have always been a consistent find. Nothing crazy, but there was always something on the shelves.
For the last four months, nothing. Not a single game of note at any of the four Durham stores. Zero.

Here’s what makes this strange. I recently donated items at one of these locations and watched what happens at the donation door. Value Village separates media donations right at the drop off point. Books, records, video games, all of it goes directly into a dedicated pallet sized bin. There were a ton of games in that bin when I was there. People donate games constantly. That part of the pipeline clearly works.

But here’s the thing: Value Village does not price and sell donations at the store level. Media gets consolidated and sent to their central processing facility in Richmond Hill. Sorting and redistribution happens there before anything gets shipped back out to individual stores.

So where are the games going? Because they are not coming back to Durham. Not to Ajax. Not to Pickering. Not to Whitby. Not to Oshawa. Four stores. Four months. Nothing.
I have talked to other shoppers watching the same stores and they confirm the same thing. This is not a matter of items selling fast before I get there. The shelves are simply empty of games. That has not happened in the five plus years I have been shopping these locations. Something changed.

I am not here to accuse anyone of anything. But I am genuinely asking: has anyone else noticed this in Durham or elsewhere in the GTA? And does anyone have insight into how Richmond Hill actually distributes media back to stores, and whether video games specifically could be getting diverted somewhere else?

Something is off and I would love to know what it is.

Osbournes now Maga?

It seems to me that the Osbournes are easing their way into full MAGA territory, which is extremely disappointing, especially considering that Ozzy couldn’t stand Trump. There’s enough evidence for me to draw that conclusion. I used to be a defender of the whole family, Sharon included, but I can’t do it anymore. I can’t stand them now, especially Sharon. She looks like a completely different person, and now she’s acting like one too

Amazing fan

Back in the early 2010s I was a member of a Black Sabbath fan forum and there was a incredibly generous member of the community who used to send fellow fans free Sabbath vinyl and CDs, no strings attached. He sent out the Bellman 180g 2011 Rhino pressings along with several super deluxe CD releases to anyone who wanted them. Just an absolutely legendary member of that community. I have been feeling nostalgic about those days lately and was wondering if anyone else was part of that forum and has similar memories of how great that community was back then.

Free record guy

Were any of you members of the old Black Sabbath fan website where there was a guy on there who was sending free Sabbath stuff to anybody who gave their address to him? The guy sent me the Bellman 180 g 2011 releases no questions asked. He also sent me several of the super deluxe CD releases. The dude was awesome I forgot his name and that’s terrible I know. If somebody can refresh my memory that would be amazing

My son got a bag of pranks and gags from Spencer‘s or something and there was a fly in an ice cube. I told him about the clip of Dr. Hibbard. Tried to find it on YouTube and it’s not there. Anybody know where I can it?
