Neptune V fist impressions
My Neptune V arrived on October 1st, I held myself from posting the very same day and spent some time with the watch before sharing my initial thoughts:
I love how the case melts on the wrist, the proportions feel just right and the heft is spot on.
The dial, markers and hand are to die for. Most of the instances I look at the watch are more so to appreciate the finishing and details rather than checking what time it is.
The bezel action, my god, the bezel action. It feels sturdy and satisfying to turn, it requires just the right amount of torque to turn it and aligns perfectly.
The bracelet is definitely the weakest point of this watch, it's definitely comfortable although somewhat flimsy which I noticed when adjusting it for my wrist size.
Finally the rotor of the movement is a bit too noisy for my liking but it's not something you'll notice, at least I won't, on day to day use.
Overall, I do like the watch. For $700 the competition is steep and you could definitely find other compelling options at this price point. I find the Neptune V to be worthwhile at this price though just barely.
