Theoretical highest possible score?…

139.4

Using 82-0.vercel.app , I played around with the roster from the current 131 high score. Tried all the top players at each position (except GSW Wilt at Center) in different variations and this combo resulted in the highest theoretical score estimate. Has to be something with Jordan’s STL’s and Blocks influencing the fill-in’s to go bonkers for all the other 60s guys? Thoughts?

How to Make a Winless Team (yes, it is possible)

There are 21 players with an all zero stat line and they are all in the 2020s. Of those 21, none are Centers, 3 can play at PF, 2 can play at PG, and the rest can play SG/SF (with the exception of one that can only play SG).

Utilizing 82-0.vercel.app (thanks to whomever built that), I was able to identify four Centers that could still give you the possibility of a winless team. They are:

Noah Vonleh - BKN 2020 (0.4 value)
Jahlil Okafor - IND 2020 (1.2 value)
Dan O’Sullivan - UTA 1990 (1.0 value)
Dave Hoppen - PHI 1990 (1.3 value)

If you get Okafor or Hoppen, you would need all zero stat line guys for the rest of the team.

If you get O’Sullivan, there are 5 other players (besides the zero stat guys) with low enough value in 2020s that can pair with him. They are all SG/SF combos, except for one that is only SF. So, you will still need one of the zero stat PG and PF.

If you get Vonleh, on top of the pairing players for O’Sullivan, there are an additional 31 players in 2020s that will pair and one 2010s player (Richardson - TOR). Of the 31, six can play PG, three can play PF, and the rest can play SG/SF (except 2 strictly SF and 1 strictly SG).

Hopefully this helps others in the quest for a winless team. Looking forward to seeing who gets it first!

Finally… 134 tries

Gugliotta was my last pick and thought for sure he would keep me from getting perfect, but it was a pleasant surprise!

Looking for a Premier League team to support? Give Aston Villa a shot.

Join the Milwaukee Villans today at Nomad on Brady at 2:00pm as we chase a European trophy for the first time in over 40 years. Aston Villa take on SC Freiburg in the Europa League final. Here's why Milwaukee sports fans may find Aston Villa to be a good fit:

  1. Mighty Underdogs: Like our Milwaukee pro sports teams, Aston Villa face an uphill battle to compete with bigger, more financially well-supported clubs both domestically (the "Big 6" clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal) and on the continent (mega-clubs like Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain). Supporting a "big" club would feel like rooting for the Yankees or Lakers to me. No thanks.

  2. Dreaming of '82: Like our Brewers, Aston Villa's 1982 squad is immortal, having "conquered Europe" as our song goes when we beat Bayern Munich in the European Cup (now the Champions League) final.

  3. Wes Edens Connection: Aston Villa are owned in part by Edens, who is, of course, part of the ownership group that brought our Bucks their first championship in 50 years. Just like he did with the Bucks, Edens brought an ambition for success that had been lacking in Birmingham prior to his arrival.

  4. Founding History: Like our beloved Packers in the NFL, Aston Villa are one of the oldest and most historically successful football teams in England. Villa's William McGregor is widely considered the father of the English Football League, having formed the league in 1888 with 11 other clubs.

Consider supporting our club if you are interested in the beautiful game but haven't found a home yet. Up The Villa!
