I'm very new to camping and I'm planning to go on my first camping trip with my partner. We'll be driving to the campsite and we're planning to go mid August to Berea, St. David’s, Wales. We don't want to spend too much money on equipment as we may find out that camping isn't really for us.

We've purchased a tent - Quechua Arpenaz 4.1 and now we're trying to plan other equipment.

Would you suggest an inflatable air mattress + fleece throw + sleeping bag or something else?

I'm going camping for the first time with my partner in a long time in August in west Wales for 2 nights. We'll be driving to the campsite. I've narrowed it down to a Quecha tent as I'm thinking of using Decathalon's No Tent Left Behind 2026 scheme. Between the two, which tent would you suggest?

I recently read The Correspondent by Virginia Evans and it’s making me feel very nostalgic; I would love to find a few penpals. I quite a techie so it would be a great opportunity for me to switch off from technology and put pen to paper.

Initially I’m looking for traditional postal penpals within the UK to exchange letters with. I’ve already found a few guys so my preference would be to find a few more women.

A bit about me. I don’t want to put too much on here however a few things about me. I’m 38 years old. I’m a British Asian, married guy living in the Midlands. No children and no plans to have any in the future. I work as a software developer. Some hobbies and interests include reading, watching films/tv, playing board games, building lego, running (when the weather isn’t too bad) and travelling.
