Why does the PS5 mod menu lock up?

I've had the game on PS5 and series x since the launch days. They play almost identically(PS5 gets minor screen tearing on the bottom while xbox gets it on the top), except when it comes to mods. Every time I enable/disable a mod on PS5, the game locks up for several seconds. The last time I used the that toggled all mods, it locked up for over 10 minutes. For comparison, it's never more than a second on xbox, and it's always been this way for me since mods first dropped for consoles.

What causes this? Is there a fix for it?

The most useless, useful relic I've ever seen

I've had this since...last November? I want to like it, I really do. I still can't bring myself to sell it!

Roah Moonglow just taught me how to cheat at stealth >:D

I was robbing Roah in the goblin camp with my duergar hireling, and Roah caught her red handed. Roah decided to chug an invisibility potion, and for her action that turn, she used

https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Arrow\_of\_Darkness

She hit my hireling, but it turns out that darkness arrows don't break invisibility! Or the Hidden status for that matter. I guess Rugan's not the only loose lipped zhent. Thanks Roah!

Unmodded hirelings

I always hire the shorties from Withers, and always give them a unique appearance every time!

Dr. Feelgood: A high wisdom transmutation wizard, he brews my party's drugs. And once he's high (leveled) enough, abuse the crap out of the transmuter's stone. He apparently got kicked out of a metal band this time around.

Skorz Goldtongue: The halfling bard, specced heavily into Persuasion for better sell prices early on, but is mostly there to cast Enhance Ability when it's useful. Such as helping Dr. Feelgood make drugs(Owl's Wisdom causes Experimental Alchemy to be done at advantage).

Sharps Flynn: Withers' duergar, respecced into thief so merchants can be robbed withou tpenalties for failed sleight of hand checks. She stayed bald for once.

Lost dregs

"Your body is the least interesting thing about you." Some are more defined by their bodies than others, and it's certainly not an enviable position to be in. Like these lost dregs, all afflicted with lycanthropy and barely able to contain their rage or hunger. They've forsaken names as they no longer have use for them.

The stalker is never seen(gnome assassin), and never heard unless they want to be, usually just before eviscerating poor unsuspecting victims. They were a thief until the angler turned them and their hunger forced adaptation.

The scout always preferred solitude even when she she was still with her crèche(githyanki hunter), now her skills identifying prey and planning ambushes is vital to her pack's survival. She was never a particularly skilled combatant among her crèche, but she always excelled at reconaissance. She was charmed by the angler and turned without resistance. Now, she's both more free and more together than ever before.

The brute is far from a fool(half-orc champion), but finds he can solve most problems through violence(less Occam's razor and more Occam's bludgeoning implement). He doesn't enjoy it, it's simply a means to an end for him. He lived a life doing violent odd jobs to get by. The brute was attacked by the angler in his sleep, as he could likely have put up a decent fight.

The angler is all charm and seduction(high elf glamour bard), one look into her eyes is all it takes. She always avoids talking about her past, so it's not clear how she came to be cursed nor the hows and whys of her new pack being formed. Did she even turn them on purpose?

These lost dregs are stuck with each other now, without a pack they'd be vulnerable, with any more it would be difficult to avoid being noticed. Maybe in another life they could've been adventurers.

Light? What's that? Diovoid!

A shadow sorcerer up to...whatever shadow sorcerers do. Diovoid is shadow incarnate, cloaking herself in it. She uses her mastery of shadows to form an elegant dress out of battle, and a less stylized suit of armor when she's ready to collapse some fool's mind.

Mods in comments, all photos taken on xbox.

Edit: Oh yeah, rainbow 'cause pride. She's aro ace, and only interested in...whatevet shadow sorcerets do?

New(?) rock lyrics: "watch the world ending with me"

Or it may have been "watching the world end with me."

I only caught the tail end of the song on the radio. It had a fairly fast and complex guitar riff, and the vocalist sounds vaguely like the guy from Shinedown, but I don't believe it is Shinedown or that vocalist. I'm assuming it's new because I don't often listen to radio, and even though the guitar stuff was complex it had a style like rock from the past five years.

Google, youtube, and SongSearch all pulled up things that are definitely not it: Falling in Reverse, Trace Adkins, Calexico, and a video game with a title similar to those lyrics from 14 years ago.

Does this ring a bell for anyone? I apologize if this is too vague or too specific, but this is what I have to work with.

There are worse than shadows in the dark...Diovoid!

Diovoid is a shadow sorcerer drow who uses her psychic and shadow power to fight anyone in her way. Dio's shadows are less like shadow, more like a void that threatens to engulf everything around her.

Can I get a second opinion? Anyone besides Dr. Jo!

Dr. Jo is a noble seldrine drow life cleric who wanders Faerûn healing the sick and wounded, and she's very good at what she does. But she doesn't do it out of kindness, duty, an oath, or amything like that.

"Gas grass or ass, no life saved for free."

"What the hells does that even mean?"

"Look, I'm broke, horny, and completely in my right mind. Fix one of those problems and I'll fix your broken femur or whatever."

Dr. Jo is a party girl binger, first and foremost. She set out on her own because she doesn't do much of anything but party, and everyone she knew tried their best to get her to sober up and chill out, but Dr. Jo was having none of it. Her hedonism isn't born out of being unable to solve a problem and she is not even an addict; she's just a spoiled brat that wasn't told no.

During one of her benders when she was younger, she discovered a hermit's ramblings about Tiamat, and her drugged out mind interepeted Tiamat as *the goddess of absolute freedom*. On that day she became an independent worshippet and decided to call herself Dr. Jo, refusing her birth name and cutting all family ties. She also started dying her hair blue, because she wanted to.

She prays to Tiamat often, and she isn't an entirely unwelcome worshipper in spite of not understanding her goddess. After all, what god doesn't appeciate useful idiots spreading their name? But recently, Tiamat herself was horrified by the depravity of an idea Dr. Jo has come up with. Promissory notes of service, in exchange for payment up front, with services walled off by clerical jargon but no guarantee of service, and addotional payment aftetwards, regardless of service being rendeted or denied. Dr. Jo calls it "insurance."

If you ever need a healer and a pink-haired drow woman comes along, just be wary that the strings attached may not be worth it.

(The only mods I used here are the earring physics mod I can't think of the name, and Cheater's Spell Scroll for the dream armor.)

Photo mode visibility patch?

Is there anything that changes the visibility of things in photo mode? Specifically, Shadow Blade and arcane archer effects. These effects disappear when photo mode is open, with exception to cutscenes, so I would assume it only requires a simple edit to change.

Is there anything available that does this? Or, is there anything in the pipeline awaiting approval?

Hey all, I found a neat trick in photo mode I wanted to share. I don't know if anyone's posted it before or elsewhere, feel free to call me a dummy in the comments if it's been done before.

So certain actions cause the active character to glow(image 1). But when you go to the options menu while within photo mode and toggle nudity either off or on(image 2) amd exit the options menu, glow effects will only be coming from your character's clothes(image 3). It can get a bit wacky(image 4). And if you're not doing an action that causes your character to glow, toggling nudity will instead make their clothes extremely dark(image 5), which you could potentially use to create negative spaces on a character's body, for unique photoshoots.

I found this by...toggling nudity on and off lol. Xbox is overzealous in preventing nudity from being uploaded by its users, and sometimes BG3's censor pasties show up through armor, so I've toggling it a little bit lol.

This works without mods, but won't be nearly as noticeable unless your character's clothing shows some skin, such as with githyank undergarments, the Angelic Scion camp clothes or Mutilated Carapace.

Mods in screenshots? Wings Unlocked, Tiefling Glowing Eyes Restored, FearTaylor's Camp Clothes, one of the Dawnstar spells(Soul Dive), Spartan outfit, Eternal Queen, Fiamma Volante, and Ninja Girl.

Edit: Title giving away the method was meant to make it clear and concise. But wooooow I underestimated how horny and lazy people are. And apparently trying to avoid the automod bot's stupidity is a crime equal to eating babies. Smdh.
