Just recently got a glacier plate. Is it safe for the coating to occasionally clean it with rubbing alcohol when I feel like soap and water isn't removing finger/skin oils?

I feel stupid for asking this but when adjusting z offset for an AD5X if I raise the offset value does that move the bed up?

I've only owned bed slingers before this and raising the offset value on those would move the nozzle away from the bed.
