Just purchased an MG4 EV, waiting for delivery. The salesman talked up the lower maintenance / servicing cost of an EV but actually the service plan quote he gave me is the most I’ve ever paid for a similar plan in other cars by a long shot.
There appears to be no saving over PAYG for servicing with the plan - did you go for a plan or do you just pay when your services come up?

I drive with hand controls (a push-pull accelerator, steering ball and pedal guard) and want to go electric for my next car.
I had my heart set on a Renault 5 but due to the gear selector being a stalk on the same side as my accelerator leaver, I have been told it is not safe as I would be unable to hold the brake whilst changing gear (reversing etc). Also, the provider has said they do not have controls for an R5 yet, so sadly that’s out the window.
Can anyone else recommend similar sized EV’s (no smaller, but slightly bigger is fine) that have good features and work with your hand controls (in most cases I assume this would be EV’s with a gear selector in the traditional middle console position) or at least on the left hand side.
