Blocked corner and walls

New build, mostly being done by contractors but I’m doing some of the easier stuff myself including insulation.

Problem #1: So for the main floor I’m using Rockwool batts, and planning it out I just noticed one of the corners isn’t quite a California corner. They blocked it out as one, but looks like the last board of the adjacent wall stops right in the way.

What’s the best or most reasonable way to insulate that corner?

I’ve thought about pulling the one board, putting Rockwool in, and putting the board back. Or, drill 3-4 3/4” holes in it and fill it with canned closed cell.

Problem #2: Similar to problem 1, they’ve blocked several
spots for the interior walls to fasten to the exterior (see 3rd pic) that have a cavity behind them. Unfortunately I think these are loaded with nails, so the spray foam is probably the easier option there.

Attached sheathing is Zip System if it matters.

Cellulose vs. Fiberglass Blown In?

In the middle of a build and checked to see what type of blown in insulation was planned for the attic…the answer was fiberglass. I asked if I could get cellulose and the contractor looked at me like I’m crazy. Said he thought that stuff was extinct, but I’ve always been under the impression it’s the better of the two.

He’s willing to get that instead and is otherwise doing fantastic, not mad at him just confused he acted like it isn’t really a thing anymore.

If we go cellulose, since he’s unfamiliar, is there any type/brand I should seek out? Or is fiberglass just the thing now?

South central Ohio if zone matters.

Been Out of The Game

A friend is wanting me to help him get a PC built, but the last time I picked parts was when I build mine on a 2080Ti so I’m not in the loop on current parts. Now he’s got me wanting to build a new one myself but that’s for another day 😁

The most intense current game he’ll run will be Battlefield 6, but he’s mostly an RTS guy.

I put this together but am 100% open to suggestions. I only picked Gigabyte Mobo and GPU because they’ve done really well on my build, but not locked on them as the only option. He wants the best setup he can get around $2,200 before tax.

Delta Shopmaster Fix?

A friend got this for free and just wants to know if it’s fixable. I’m fairly decent at resurrecting stuff but know very little about lathes…so hopefully it’s obvious for someone here.

When turning on the machine it has power, but won’t turn without a nudge. It doesn’t have a quill right now so I can’t test if it bogs down with a load on it.

Is the motor shot? Something else? Trash?
