Anti-Flock Momentum in Boulder, CO
Boulder is blanketed in flock cams. Its a smaller city and the police have over 30. Including private cameras like Home Depot and the ones around the CU campus there’s over 50. it’s Almost impossible to go anywhere these days without passing multiple.
Last week someone filed a lawsuit against the city over their use of flock.
Someone‘s putting large “AI SURVEILLANCE“ stickers on the camera poles.
Today I saw one that got spray painted.
Feels like momentum is building around here…

Covering dahlia tubers for upcoming cold/rain?
Hi guys- I planted about a dozen dahlia tubers in a raised bed last weekend. Now I'm seeing a 60-90% chance of rain over the next 4 days with temps getting down to the mid 30's at night.
I'm not a dahlia expert & I'm concerned about the effect this weather could have on the tubers. Should I make a plastic covering to try to keep this water off and warmth in the soil? Or am I overthinking it?

Cyclists with a death wish
Why do Boulder cyclists insist on riding on skinny shoulders where vehicles are traveling at 60+ mph?
Crash after crash after crash...and every time the cycling community is outraged, as if it wasn't completely avoidable.
How many serious injuries & deaths need to occur before common sense kicks in?
