First hide: I kneaded the egg on but it's been raining so I can't start a fire

How long can I wait to let the egg sit? Will it start rotting (the egg yolk I mean?) (hair on sheepskin I had drop in my lap and I've flushed / salted / dried / stretched, it's kinda a supple rawhide right now but I wanna tan it properly.

I don't think I'll have time to smoke it until next Tuesday (I work.... So much....)

Which way to pivot at 33 (seasonal work to something stable / year round)

I'm used to living off $20k/yr but it's jobs that give housing and food. Now I fell in love with this one city so I got an apartment and got a job as a lifeguard. It's muuuuch harder to live the lifestyle I enjoy on $24k when there's rent etc.

My new friend group are all homeowners etc making $40k-70k which sounds like magic person money. I have zero office experience, most of my background is rock climbing or aquatics, some kayaking and hiking guide. Outdoor stuff where it's fun but pays kinda crap.

There's a free college in my area. I'm thinking about taking classes there but not sure what. One of my childhood friends does lighting/stagehand and makes $88k but that's because he's been in the industry since we were both kids.

I'm kinda stressed thinking about trying to change the whole trajectory of my life at 33, but I want to try to stay in my current area vs moving every few months/living out of my car, y'know? I'm getting a little old for that. But I am afraid that I lost the time I should have been using going to college etc. Like I'm behind everyone, y'know?

I think I'd enjoy and thrive doing stagehand but a lot of it you start out volunteer or low paying. Now that I'm paying rent I'm more hesitant, y'know? I probably should had done that when I was younger.

One of my friends suggested phlebotomy because of my extensive first aid background.

Just trying to figure out my life. 😩🫶 I feel behind. Feels bad. Trying to have hope!

Hair on sheep hide taking forever to dry

I spent all weekend drying it (in rainy condition under a tarp) and then have been drying it by a fire for like six hours this evening 😭 I was told to use a low n slow fire/hold your hand up to it but maybe it can be a little bigger? Any tips for drying this hide out? She's sooo damp... The mN teaching me said I did a good job fleshing / I been softening it over a stick the past few hours this evening

I gotta go to bed I'm gonna just put her in a plastic bag

It died my hair out which is :( bit my psoriasis!!!! I've also noticed chlorine helps as well. What do we know about ph and psoriasis? Do you think wood ash could be useful as a regemin?
