What's your installation experience?

Hey all!

I'm currently near the end of my Virgin Media contract.

I decided to skip the dance and just take a Toob offer for £22 a month (900mb) (+£2 a year). I later spoke to VM, who offered 1gb + netflix for £25 (+£4 a year).

I'm considering taking the offer from VM now mostly because it's the devil you know and also because the only line coming into the house is a VM line along the front garden. We don't have a phone cable from a telephone pole in the street. I had heard that some people in a similar situation had a rough time with the installation job when Toob installed their cables (damage to house or just ugly installation).

I'm curious to hear installation stories (good and bad). Thanks!

Moved up to 50mg but feel worse than on 40mg

Hello

I moved up to 50mg about 10 days ago as part of titration. It feels like quite a leap from 40mg. I definitely feel as though I have less energy on 50 than 40 - weirdly. But the hyperfocus has been insane.

My Dr has said a step back in dose would be rough, so we're trying another month on 50mg (no higher). The idea being that maybe the body just has to get used to this dosage level.

I was at an event the other night and felt massively unstimulated and drained. There's a real crash on 50mg I didn't experience on 40mg. Right now it's nearly 2pm and I've been struggling to keep going on chores since 1230. I feel a very mildly stoned. It's strange, given that it's a stimulant.

Has anyone else has similar experiences (not necessarily at 50, but when moving up a dosage level)?

Wrapping an Arotherm

Hello

Whilst we love our Vaillant Arotherm, the bright white colour does stand out, and we want to help the pump recede a little. We've looked into getting our pump wrapped with PPF but the price is very high: £550 (I'd have to take the panels off and bring them in to get wrapped)

Has anyone here done this? Did it look decent?

Hello!

Sigenstor 12kW inverter owner, here!

I'm on Octopus Agile. Yesterday was negative pricing electricity, so I invited a friend to charge their Tesla.

I noticed at one point the inverter was pulling 20kW from the grid! It was charging the battery and the Tesla. Not sure how it was doing that if only rated for 12kW.

At some point the grid power failed and I got this message. It turns out the main supply fuse (60A) had blown. All credit to UK Power Networks, they had a guy over within an hour or so and he swapped it for an 80A fuse.

I didn't even notice the interruption as the gateway cut over seamlessly.

Once the grid power was back on, this message disappeared, the diagnostics reported all was OK, and the Tesla charged again for a little while.

Should I be worried about this error message? Is there a fault in the wiring? I worry that if the grid fails again and we go to off-grid the issue will be dangerous.

Thanks!

EDIT - Not sure why the line breaks aren't working. Sorry about that!
