Room max 705 full bin issues?

Hi all, have just picked up a new 705 combo max, and I am having issues with the bin not emptying or frequently spitting out clumps/dust etc.

I have the setting at empty every 15m²/160ft² but often doesn't fully empty the dust bin, then it carries on and proceeds to spit out clumps because ethe internal bin is full?

We have two long hair collies currently moulting so I get there is a bit of hair and dander at the moment.

I'm new to the app, so is there a better setting, or can it be asked to empty bin after every room is cleaned?

705 max or typical vac issues?

We upgraded our 7 year old Xiaomi unit which was a absolute work horse around the house.

We decided to upgrade and went with the 705 combo max, and so far haven't been blown away by it like we thought we would.

There are a couple of issues, and I'm not sure if it's just teething issues or a problem of all modern vacs?

  1. We have hook/loop carpet, the 705 has been finding threads and pulling, with us coming home and see a patch of torn carpet.

  2. Vac is set to empty every 15m2/49ft it appears to spit out clumps of debris (dog hair clumps)

  3. It spits out clumps and then refuses to vacuum them up and sees them as objects to avoid.

  4. Also starting to chew the corners of 2 of our rugs.

  5. Doesn't fit under our couch and beds like the old Xiaomi C1, too tall.

  6. Spinning arms are mechanically noisy (twice as loud as the old unit)

Kind of in the return in mind set as I was expecting to be blown away with a unit that is 7 years newer with tech, but i'm underwhelmed tbh.

Is this the reality of all new robots or just the 705max? 2x long hair collies, 1 cat, 2 disheveled teenager bedrooms.

If I return it for a QrevoEdge2 or a Xiaomi5 pro will I be better off? (Similar price ranges)

Evening I don't post often, but we wrapped up a regular once a month beer session with mates, and as we have a mate with MFAT so conversation got deep about what this FTA deal could mean for our future if it goes balls up with the clawback deal the FTA has in place.

,

Summary of the skepticism, we are being primed for a potential generational pump and dump by the private sector with day one dropping of tariffs across the horticulture sector, there is potential for GDP growth to help cover our growing infrastructure costs at home.

The agreement comes with one giant generational hospital pass, the $30billion dollar investment (I have heard them tout $20billion to try soften the number but the investment agreement is USD)

The crutch of that is there is no real incentive to ensure the Kiwifruit of forestry sector contribute towards footing that $30 billion investment commitment, end of the day the FTA is between the NZ Government and India, not NZ forestry or Zespri.

Cynically, the private sector is gambling in 15 years the NZ government will be forced to foot the bill. Once this begins to become a likelihood, our super could be coerced into shifting heavy investment into the Indian markets, with the possibility of the country still failing the investment quota at 'review' the doors are shut on us.

But the primary sector has made their wins and gains, while our local manufacturing has been incentivised to shift processing to India, it's a win-win for India with the game to lose at home.

The '5000' immigration numbers and 'not enough homes' are all smoke and mirrors to the bigger looming issue.

This is mostly a generalisation of what we discussed, and it's probably obvious to this sub what this deal really holds, but I'm just catching up, and well, I feel like many others out there are maybe too.
