Zero to ubers done - reporting in

Hello everyone,

Recently I did an ssf zero to ubers restart and since I've made quite a few posts asking for help with choosing a build, I figured I'd also post the final result.

So first of all the character I ended up with was not the one I initially chosen. I've rerolled like 5 times. Getting characters anywhere between early maps to alc and go t16

and dropping them for one reason or another. I've played soulwrest necro, worb elementalist, tendrils elementalist, sbor hiero, soulwrest cwc vd reliquarian and finally

I swapped to the build I did the challenge with - SRS of enormity guardian.

Current character: https://poe.ninja/poe1/profile/distressqq-6817/allflamessf/character/Big_Boom_Minion

pob here (config setup for single target) https://pobb.in/89eBSgbGTx3x

The character is actually 98% copied from Pr3vie's doc, his medium/life version. The only changes I've made was basically go divine shield, give up on 4th spectre, give up on grand spectrums

TL;DR what's the verdict? Absolutely fantastic. Superb clear, very tanky and probably the easiest ubers on a regular power level build. I'm not going to compare it to stuff that's totally batshit broken like the current luminary or last leagues minion pact. Couldn't recommend more.

Characters pros:

- Fantastic playstyle for ubers. You dodge, minions do the work

- Superb clear with annihilation support

- Very tanky from early stages of the game

- Guardians ascendancy carries the whole early game without even a main skill

Characters cons:

- SRS - Yeah the worst part of srs build is that it's srs build. With my current gear if I just run with single target supports I can comfortably clear, it's going to be veeeeery slow, but comfortable. Wasn't always the case. On the low end of gear, when you've got 1,5 mil single target dps, which means each of your skulls is at like 200k, they spread out, do no damage, get overwhelmed by breach, blight etc and you fail those mechanics. The dropoff from singletarget to clear dps is insane

- Probably going to get fixed. It's not really a srs build. It's an an annihilation build. Kinda like when you play worb it get tiresome to clear with main skill and you scale herald and your build becomes frostblink herald autobomber with supplementary worb for single target, the same idea applies here, but here it's most likely a bug. See when annihilation support is used by a minion it's inherent characteristics and it's supports are getting passed down to it. It means that annihilation support in this build gains srs's guaranteed crit, then gets supported by crit multi, minion damage and ele focus and then on top of all of that can proc of itself. That interaction makes the whole build and is most likely a bug that will get fixed at some point. Maybe not next league since it's not that popular yet, but it will.

If you want to replicate the build here are a few things:

SKills are mostly unchangeable. It would be hard to fit in anything else. Gemswapping is highly recommened for main skill.

For clear you want to run SRS-minion damage- crit multi - multistrike - annihilation - ele focus

For single target you want to swap to SRS - minion damage - crit multi - multistrike - wed - predator/ruthless

Don''t bother swapping for regular bosses. Only do that for pinnacles/ubers and maybe nightmare map bosses with very hard mods.

Spectres:

The only good corpse spectre I found is perect blasphemer, so I'm using that one. Some good free spectres are arena master and spectral leader.

There are however a lot of good spectre corpses from ritual, like tiger, turtle, warlord, forest warrior, judgmental spirit I wasn't lucky and didn't get even regular version of those not to mention the perfect ones.

Gear:

Wand - you can either fossil craft looking for +2 or essence spam. Fossil crafting is great if you're trying to get your spectre gem level to 25 so you can add one more spectre.

I passed on that since minion damage/minion attack speed and crit multi all scale better than gem levels and are actually easier to hit. Remember you need open suffix for trigger craft

Shield - I ended up with surrender, because I couldn't craft anything decent, but a shaper shield with high block, high life, life on block is bis.

Amulet - Jinxed juju is most likely bis, if you don't have it just run any life/res/stats rare

Rings - I went for recomb here. Alt/alc/chaos spam until good mods then recomb. Even poe2 style recomb kinda works because chance of hitting 2 mod bases is quite decent.

The mods I was going for are life, minion dam and minion attack and cast speed. Then lock prefix, exalt slam 4th mod, craft 5th mod, leave prefix open.

Belt - darkness enthroned is bis, farm it up

Helmet - Here you can also look for up to +2 minion gems. I instead opted for a high life fractured base, then spammed reforge chaos until good suffixes, suffix locked and reforged minion for guaranteed +minion skills. I only got +1 but it's ok, since I'm no going for lvl 25 spectre.

Body armor - There are a lot of things you can do here. I opted for high triple defense prefix, prefix lock, reforge phys for pdr, but you could also go for high life or block. You're most likely either recombinating this or going for a fracture from breach tree.

Gloves and boots - Just look for what you're missing. Life and res/stats (well ms for boots). Since I ended up with good suffixes on boots and suffix lock veiled chill avoid movement speed craft, I added cannot be frozen on top, but just running brine king is ok, you don't need that one.

Jewels:

Large minion cluster - just look for increased effect with some good other stuff. This 10 passive is the only one I dropped the whole time, so it's a settle. I really like chaos res on clusters like that so I'd recommend that one.

Medium minion cluster - Look for blessed rebirth, it completly changes how build feels

Brutal restraint - it was originally there just for dex requirements and I was supposed to take it off, but I actually hit one that gives some good stats so I just kept it. You don't need it, you can fix dex with a fluid motion or just on gloves/rings and run an additional abyss jewel.

Abyss jewels - Best stat pob wise is minion damage if you cast a minion spell recently. Second best are flat phys and minion attack and cast speed. All elemental flat damages are also good, just slightly less good. Try to alt-regal-exalt spam for 3 good mods (unlikely you get perfect 4) and use allflame crafting to corrupt on a 5th mod

And finally a disclaimer. I you see this post, think "oh this is a cool build" and decide to reroll templar, equip srs gem at level 4 and just go - don't. Don't do that to yourself. Just play absolution until you're able to run enormity annihilation setup.

Lightning tendrils - elementalist vs luminary

Hello guys,

I'm thinking about rerolling into lightning tendrils (currently running reliquarian cwc vd). I've got some basic gear for that like maryline's and +5 gems/48 cast speed staff and I can farm more on my current character so don't worry about viability as a first character. What I wonder about is do I go elementalist or luminary for best scaling into the end game?

Elementalist baseline will have higher numbers on poeninja, because you can't view mercs there. Golems also fix some basic stuff like mana regen, which can be a big issue on luminary. I am however not very convinced about the way those builds go low life to get benefits of foulborn lori's and end up with either all life reserved, corruscating elixir and 4k es or half of the life reserved with like one aura less. Ehp technically seems ok, becuase of the block cap, but realistically anything goes through and you're dead.

On the other hand with luminary you can get wrath + zealotry fallen reverend. Those are about lvl 26/27. You can also get quite a lot of aura effect scaling for one of those. Perquils toe for lucky damage. For the second unique there are quite a few options actually both offensivelyt and defensively. You can get an extra curse through gloves implicit(I've actually got a +1 curse perquils) etc. Curse may not matter since I see all the lumis going for anathema, but I don't have one yet so for now it'd be a damage boost.

Ladder is mostly elementalists but I've tried importing into pob the few luminaries that there are, then adding to the skills lvls 27 wrath and zealotry and adding this custom config:

#Merc

Wrath has no reservation

Zealotry has no reservation

Your damage with hits is lucky

20% less damage taken from hits

130% increased wrath aura effect

50% increased zealotry aura effect

It seems like with this config you can basically take the dps number and tripple it and ehp also raises by a bit which means on average those numbers are way higher than elementalists without all the janky low life stuff (there's still like one elementalist on the ladder with 30 mln dps so he'd still be above).

So it seems to me like luminary is actually the way to go for second character. I am kinda worried though I'm baiting myself with pobwarrior numbers and missing something here.

Does anyone have a progression pob for ssf lightning tendrils?

While searching for a build for ssf restart I saw a few creators promote lightning tendrils reaching up to like 300 mil dps (quite sure it's a bit inflated with focused channeling set to max, pact active etc). That one same build shell uses quite a few uniques, some relatively easy to get (marylyne's falacy), some unobtainable (double t1 unique fuses staff). Did anyone try to pob, without inflating numbers relaistic breakpoints of investment for an ssf version ?

I was going to go for soulwrest necro for my ssf restart, but this looks really nice and the idea I can run the same gem since level 1 seems very fun, not sure though if without the assitance of trade it's at all viable as a sort of zero to ubers build

Looking for a cool zero to ubers build

Hey, so since i'm kinda done with the trade league already, but I do enjoy the league itself I thought about doing a zero to ubers ssf run. Now my first idea was since the merc helmet mod that gives crit per exerted warcry is back, I should just do a slam run and that might still be the play, but I've had a slammer character every league, event and gauntlet since the melee buffs, so I'm kinda over those builds.

On the other hand there are a lot of cool new builds. Like there's a coc bf bb assasin setup that while isn't very defensive has old vaal-pact levels of leech and can reasonably reach like 40 mln dps. So I thought I'm going to look for something cool, something new, something different.

Dps is one thing, but when it comes to defences, probably the best layer for ubers is damage convertion to mitigate pen, so maybe something something reliquarian would work? Or any incan heart / xibaqua build?

Few rules when looking for a build:

- Not a luminary flamelink mercbot - that's my trade league build

- Has to be able to kill almost all ubers (it's ok if exarch is out of reach)

- No uniques of higher rarity than t3, unless cards are available then we can move up to t2

- Let's avoid super low boss drops (light of meaning is cool, but low droprate and then having to id the right version makes it kinda not reliable)

- It's ok if it's not startable or not all rounder, I can make a different farming build or even character and just get bosser going after getting all the gear, but bonus points for one zero to hero style character

My current top picks is a slammer, but I'm not sure I want to farm cards for defiance to fix defences or the bf bb coc assasin that I can hopefully instagib bosses on. Any poison pathfinder that can transition into xibaqua and for the farming period can do all mods is also really high, but again looking for suggestions, aspecially new, cool, quirky stuff

help needed, worb vs herald stack vs phys dot reroll (kb str stack?)

I've been running on my worb elementalist super low budget build, initially intending to swap to power charge setup at some point, but now that I've saved up some currency I'm not so sure anymore. I'd like to actually start scaling the character into the endgame (it's running super scuffed cheap rares and mystic refractor, nothing else) and I'm wondering what to do with it.

First idea go ralakesh power stack shell. Seems very good. It's extremly overpriced atm. If ralakesh were like 25d then sure, but current prices for all the pieces of the build like clusters, forbidden jewels etc is insane.

Second idea go power charge worb, but without the ralakesh shell. I saw on poe.ninja some guys running svallin and just sort of rare gear. But outside of super high ehp (based on the inflated block) it kinda seems like worse version of the ralakesh shell.

Third idea was one of the autobombers. Either go ignite with herald stack or phys dot with golem stack. I've in breach league the herald stacker penance brand of dissipation and it was insane, so I know how it feels to play this kind of build, but for the amount of investment they require they don't seem to be very tanky. Also it's been many league since last time I played a cold skill and I'm pretty sure high freeze chance + blast-freeze carries my current scuffed worb build more than anything else. I'm kinda hesitant to give it up.

Fourth idea was to go kboc necro. Should be still viable after the nerfs. Gear should be quite a bit cheaper than the other witch options, so even though technically build celling is lower, I can probably get more gear and still be within budget. This one I'm the most iffy about. Without mb it's just block cap with 8-10k es and 75 ele res ci build. Even compared to other witches seems squishy.

What are your guys opinions on those builds? Which one would (or have) you guys go for? My current budget is almost 100d so not enough to fully deck out any of those builds or get a mb, but probably enough to get a decent version running.

I'm pretty sure the strongest build with really good clear in the league is going to be conner's kb/hs jugg. But for that build every single item costs anywhere between my current full budget to like 3 times that so I've kinda given up on it. Unless someone more knowledgable about str stack can sort of confirm if just getting like 2k str with alberons would be enough to feel really strong for general mapping (I'm not expecting to go for the full valdo farmer setup).
