Remote-controlled lightbulb for sensitive eyes?

I'm looking for a battery or USB operated remote control light bulb that won't bother my light sensitive eyes.

I've had a look on Optimize Your Biology at their list of flicker-free or low-flicker bulbs. I've checked all the suitable brands listed there, but all the offerings either need to be plugged into a wall or into a light fitting. Same for the bulbs on Block Blue Light. Anything battery or USB operated that I've tried so far gives me eye strain.

Does anyone know if this miracle bulb I'm looking for exists? I'm in the UK, but hopefully if there's one available somewhere else I'll be able to get it shipped here.

What might be causing my screen sensitivity with these different phones?

Tl;dr - lots of different phones are causing me eye strain, but I'm not sure what the problem is. I think it isn't PWM but I just don't know.

Up until about eight months ago, I was using a Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus. I'd never had any problems with it in terms of my eyes, but it was dying, so I needed to replace it.

Important context: I have a chronic illness that makes me very sensitive to light, so my screen is always extremely dark. Again though, never had any problems with my Samsung.

I'm putting a list here of phones I've tried, information that I think is relevant, and the results in terms of usability for me:

Samsung Galaxy S9+. PWM 215.5 Hz. Given that this didn't cause me any problems, I decided that I probably didn't have any PWM sensitivity.

Nothing CMF Phone 2. PWM 90 Hz - eye strain after a few minutes. As the PWM is very low on this phone, I then decided that so long as I got something equal to or higher than my original Samsung, I would be fine.

Motorola G75 5G. LCD gave me headaches/migraines, and I just wasn't able to turn the brightness down to a comfortable level.

Pixel 9 Pro: PWM 240 hz (still low, but higher than my old Samsung) Eye strain after a few minutes. I've since learned that Pixels are a bad choice for eye strain, but I did not look this up in advance because I'm an idiot.

Honor 400 Lite: PWM 3840Hz. Other features that are apparently good for the eyes. No eye problems. But I rely on a couple of different accessibility features and those are not super reliable on this model. I reckon a higher-end Honor phone would also probably be fine, because the 400 lite is one of their cheaper ones.

For reasons of personal preference, I would rather not get another Honor. That said, if that's the only brand that will be gentle enough on my eyes, I'll go with it. But I don't even really understand the issue I'm having to be able to get a phone that would prevent it. Does it even sound like a PWM problem? If it's not that, what other things could I look for that would be more gentle on my eyes?

I'm feeling very frustrated and confused, and any advice would be much appreciated!

How should I prepare for a thyroid blood test, if at all?

I have an underactive thyroid, and I've been taking treatment for it for years. I started LDN a couple of months back for ME/CFS, and I was advised to keep an eye on my thyroid levels as ldn can have a positive effect on those. I'm having some symptoms now which look a bit like hyperthyroidism, so I am getting my levels checked early next week.

I think I should just keep taking the same amount of my thyroid medication and the same amount I'm on of LDN, so that when I do the test, it's giving me an idea of exactly how the drugs are affecting my system. But I'm really not enjoying the hyperthyroid symptoms, and as I have severe ME, I could do without them.

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this or with a similar condition or if there's any guidance out there.

Philips Respironics Premium chin strap?

Can anybody who has one of these tell me what it's made from and/or if it's breathable when it's on you?

I've been on CPAP for a while, but recently a couple of things have changed and I'm not sure why.

  1. i've started swallowing air again, much like I did when I started using it. I have adjusted my pressure recently, but the aerophagia restarted before I changed the pressure.

  2. my airfit mask now seems to shift a little bit whenever I lie on my side. I never had this problem before, up until maybe a week or two ago. But for whatever reason, the way I'm lying on it is now causing the pillows to shift out of my nose slightly, which means I wake up because it's leaking.

Is there any likely explanation for this other than I'm just subconsciously doing something different when I sleep? And is there any way around it?

I know that there's only one frame whether you're using the airfit nasal pillows or nasal cushion. But the Airsoft frame says it can only be used with nasal cushions. I'm not really sure what the difference would be though, so has anybody successfully used nasal pillows with the airtouch frame?

I'm thinking either wired headphones with a very long cable, or BT ones where the two earbuds themselves are connected with a wire, and then that whole thing is connected to your phone with Bluetooth. I roll around a lot in my sleep, so I need something that's comfortable when I'm lying on my side and my back. I don't need them to be noise cancelling, I just need to be able to listen to something throughout the night.

I thought if I could get wired headphones that had a really long cable, they'd still stay attached, even if I roll away from my phone.

I've looked at the Aventree Repose, but I'm not sure how comfortable the bit that goes around your neck is; but if anyone has any experience with that, please let me know!

I've used soundcore A30s before but I had two different pairs and both broke. I also understand the battery life tends to be better on wired ones or neckband Bluetooth ones. So I'm not keen on trying out more true wireless sleep earbuds. Headband-style ones won't work for me either because I've also got a CPAP mask and an eye mask that's comfortable so there's not really anywhere for another headband to go.
