How can I make Russian friends for cultural exchange and interesting conversations?

Hello everyone,

I'm interested in learning more about Russia beyond the usual headlines and stereotypes. I'd love to make Russian friends for cultural exchange and meaningful conversations.

A little about me: I'm interested in history, politics, culture, literature, religion, languages, and everyday life in different countries. I'm not looking for debates or arguments. I'm more interested in thoughtful, respectful, and intellectually stimulating conversations where we can exchange perspectives and learn from each other. I'd also be happy to share information about my own country and culture.

What are the best ways to meet Russians online for genuine friendship and cultural exchange? Are there any communities, forums, Telegram groups, language-exchange platforms, or other places you would recommend?

Thank you, and I'd be happy to hear any advice or suggestions.

Offering: English/Hindi | Seeking: Arabic, Italian, French, or Russian

Hi! I’m from India and looking for language exchange partners and genuine conversations from different parts of the world.

I speak English and Hindi fluently, and I’d be happy to help with either. I’m especially interested in Arabic at the moment, but I’d also love to learn Italian, French, or Russian.

A bit about me:

  • interested in literature, theatre, politics, and history
  • enjoy writing, films, and thoughtful conversations
  • appreciate old-school romance, culture, and learning about different traditions

I’d prefer relaxed and natural conversations rather than very formal study sessions. Texting is perfectly fine at first, and later we could continue on Telegram or whatever platform is comfortable.

In return, I’d be happy to help with conversational English, pronunciation, or fluency practice.

Feel free to send me a message if you think we’d get along :)
