Omni Pro, Impressions after a few days
Please excuse the mess that is my home office. Like a lot of you I first heard about libernovo when the original Omni was announced. I didn’t jump on it though at the time. I wanted to see how the company would develop. The past 5 years I have been using a Secretlab Titan Evo. This was my first upgrade from a DX racer back in 2021. I actually really liked the Evo. I’m 5ft 10 and 150 pounds so a lot of cushion wasn’t as big of a deal for me. That said, much like the DX Racer, I started developing some lower back soreness recently so it was probably time to really invest in my overall back health now that I can afford to. I work a hybrid job, 3 days in office, 2 at home and damn I wish I could afford to buy one for my office.
After a lot of research over a few days, I decided on the 48cm Omni pro for a few reasons.
- more adjustability
- built in fan
- back stretching
I ordered Wednesday late at night, it shipped Thursday from Houston and made it to Dallas within 24 hours for pickup from fedex
I unboxed and assembled the Omni pro this past Friday after work. The assembly was easy to follow and straight forward. It would appear replacing certain parts in the future may not be too difficult if the company is still around as well should the warranty expire. I got the chair and footrest assembled and tested it out downstairs before moving it upstairs to my office
I swear I felt this chair was made for my slender frame right from when I sat down. The upholstery is top notch, better than the leap v2 at my work office. I could feel the frame just mold right to me and it didn’t take much to apply some lumbar support if I needed to. I knew the maxis would be too big for me and I was probably right so I’m glad I just stuck with the pro based off this initial fit
I started testing out the reclining various modes. The one that intrigued me the most was the 5th reclining option. And I swear right then and there I could probably fall asleep in the damn thing right in the middle of my living room especially when combined with the footrest. I was immediately impressed. The arm rests were incredibly adjustable. The only thing they can’t do is the pads can’t slide more inside. Other than that they have more adjustability compared to secret lab
The headrest is worlds above any chair’s head rest that I have used. The adjustability is unmatched and no matter how you are sitting or much you are reclined you can adjust the headrest any which way so your head is always in the middle where the most padding is. Again I nearly fell asleep in this thing downstairs and actually did upstairs 2 nights later. It was incredibly comfortable
The seat cushion is perfect. For my weight no bottoming out whatsoever though that probably was never an issue for the pro model as it was for the SE
The back stretch is a bit of a gimmick but it does feel good. It adjusts in increments over the course of a few minutes then finishes where you had the position originally. It’s definitely great for a mid day stretch during the work day
The cooling fan is not a gimmick. While it’s not a full on fan per se, in this Texas heat it does a great job keeping the chair cool, even with pants on and was part of the reason how I was able to fall asleep like I did. The fan is quite loud but honestly I wear headphones all day when working so that didn’t really bother me personally
Everything on the pro is premium materials and there is no noise, creaking or squeaking whatsoever and it all runs smooth as butter. Eventually I’ll invest in a second battery pack but it’s not needed at the moment. I haven’t worked 8 hours from home in it yet but that is coming this Friday.
I’ll post a 30 day, 6 month and 1 year update as well but feel free to ask me any questions
TLDR: so far so good. I’m happy with the features and the chair is more comfortable than I would have thought. Will update as the chair ages
