Welp saw the Ent today.

Just like many of you, I have used Afrin for a few years. Mine started six months after Covid that I started using it so I’ve actually been using it since 2021. It has gotten to the point that I wake up in the middle of the night with both of my nostrils, completely blocked up and my mouth dry from breathing through it. I’m spraying 10 to 12 times a day and multiple times at night just to open up my nasal passages.

Went to my PCP a couple weeks ago and when he looked at my nose, he said he couldn’t even see much because everything’s swollen. A little bit of history on me - back in 2014, I had a septoplasty with a turbinate reduction because I kept getting reoccurring sinus infections I had this none in the Navy. Well today was the day for my ENT appointment and he said that my turbinates are pretty swollen and even if I came off with the Afrin since I’ve overused the nasal spray, they’re likely going to shrink down to 10% of the size that they are now with afrin.

He recommended another turbinate reduction. He also saw something pretty alarming in the left nasal passage. He thinks one of my terbinates has an air pocket so I have to have a CT scan to see if it does because if it does more will have to be removed to get that out because it’s affecting my breathing. I wish I never used this crap and I really do sympathize with everyone here. I’m gonna try to get myself off of it before I have this procedure because he said it’s gonna be three times as worse right after it’s done because I can’t use it at all. Just wanted to share my story good luck.

All I have to say is “Who wants a cookie!?” And they all snap to attention.

CPU frequency Question.

Hello. I have a 512gb SD oled. I’ve had it for a little over eight months now and I just recently really started to use it as I’ve caught up with my ps5 backlog and wanted to play some of my childhood pc games I grew up with as I stopped pc gaming about 4 years ago. Recently I noticed with the type of games that I’m playing that my CPU clock is maxing out at 2.4 GHz. Now before coming here, I did do some research and what I read on the Internet is it can boost up to 3.5 GHz but won’t do that as often if the GPU usage is high to save battery.

My question is I’m not really seeing it boost up to 3.5 very often. It’s most often 2.4ghz. Is this normal behavior? Lately the games im playing are HL2, Deep rock survivor, the old Bioshock games. I’m running the most recent version of Steam OS. When I look at people reviewing games on YouTube to see if they get 60 FPS, they have the performance graph up and they’re getting 3.5 GHz in the same games that I’m playing. Temps have never gotten over 58c-62c so I know it’s not thermal throttling.

So I’m trying to understand why mine’s not boosting up to 3.5. Everything is set to default in the performance tab. One website recommended turning on GPU manual clock and it would reveal the CPU clock tab, but I’m not seeing that under that. The only thing that I turned off in the bios is the fast boot to save battery. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hello,

Was wondering if anybody could tell me who might be on these towers and what type of panels they are. Thanks!
