A few years ago, I attended a play, “Friends: The Musical” which featured word for word scenes from different episodes along with some songs thrown in. It was a musical parody.
This got me to thinking about the television show, “Sister Wives” and how it might translate to a play. If that ever happened , what scenes and songs would you want to see included in the production, especially if money were no object?
The “back door dill” drama regarding Coyote Pass
I recently watched a video where Mel and Cory of Notes to Self 444 discussed season 21, episode 1. They are both former members of the AUB and now work in the real estate field in Utah.
One point they mentioned was that Meri was legally on the title for one of the lots. It could not have been “sold out from under her” because she was legally in title.
I’m guessing that since the other lots were not in her name, they could have been sold without her permission or consent. That doesn’t necessarily make it a “back door dill.”
Did anyone catch the episode with the high school sweethearts wanting to buy a lake home with the possibility of using as a rental now and possibly retiring and moving there in a few years? They eventually picked the new build with the unfinished basement. Wow! What were your thoughts on this episode?
On this evening’s edition of the Oklahoma Sports Blitz, Toby Rowland stated that he believed that it was time to make a change regarding the OU starting quarterback based upon how things have gone thus far this season. In his opinion, it was time to bring in Whitt Newbauer as the starting QB since OU has a bye week, thus giving him two weeks of practice before the Texas game.
What are your thoughts/opinions?
I wondered if anyone else had this experience like mine today. This year I’ve been battling a very aggressive form of breast cancer, fortunately detected early.
Six months of chemotherapy, followed by a lumpectomy this summer, and now proton therapy. For the most part, I’ve fought it alone including all of the driving, scheduling, etc. My situation is complicated.
Today, I saw a younger woman with short grey hair come in for her final treatment.
Her journey was over as of today. Many of her friends and relatives showed up unexpectedly to help her celebrate and ring the bell. She was moved to tears by their show of love and support.
I was standing in the corner, talking it all in. And I realized that my experience in a few weeks will be totally different than hers because the majority of my support team are already gone from this earth, having passed years/decades ago.
Believe me, I was happy for her. I know she’s been through a lot, too. But in that moment, I felt very alone.
Today was bittersweet.
Since Kody and Robyn are no longer filming, it’s time to release the Christmas text thread that caused so much fallout with the kids. Let’s see what was really said by whom. The gloves are off now.
Has anyone worked with a mental health counselor who specializes in working with stroke patients? Is this even a thing? We are looking for someone in the OKC area, preferably, but we could also do online visits.
Can anyone recall one moment from one episode where Robyn took any accountability for the destruction of the KB family? I’ll wait.
This is why I refuse to watch any future episodes. I’m sick of seeing her and Kody flourish and prosper financially in yet another new McMansion while the OG kids ate gruel and Janelle’s bra was held up by safety pins. I’m done.
Is there anyone who has experienced buyers remorse after having a whole house natural gas generator installed at your home?
We are considering having one installed at our home this fall. We live in an area that is prone to power outages.
My spouse (disabled) was laying back in his electric lift recliner when the power failed. We had to call the fire department for help as it took three firemen to get him out safely. He also uses an electric mattress and a CPAP for sleeping, so electricity is very important to us for those reasons.
We’ve been told that it doesn’t really add to the resale value of your home, so you do it for you and not the next buyer of your home. Thanks for your insights. No sales pitches please.
What, if anything, can be done regarding a lack of filter following a stroke?
Spouse had a massive stroke (5 blood clots to the brain) three years ago. After the stroke, his moods and emotions changed drastically, throwing him into a depression which is totally understandable.
His doctor recognized what was happening and recommended Zoloft which definitely helped with moodiness and regulating emotions. However, the lack of filter still remains a major problem.
Honestly, I’m not sure if this is stroke-related, dementia-related, or both.
I would appreciate hearing from other caregivers regarding this issue. Thanks
In the fall of 2023, my spouse experienced a massive right-brain ischemic stroke. The stroke has affected his mobility, especially his left hand and leg. I have been his caregiver since he was released from rehab hospital in 2024.
He uses a wheelchair most of the time to get around our house, other than using a cane to take a few steps in and out of the bathroom.
At first, it seemed that his short term memory was affected, but the long term memories were mostly intact. Now it seems that both are impacted.
My spouse was my high school boyfriend. From the time we started dating, he always knew the date of my birthday and celebrated it each year. We have been married for 38 years. We have a long history together, and he always knew the date of my birthday.
Unlike many guys who can’t remember dates, he always knew, and that’s why I am crushed because that signals to me that the long-term memories are going, too.
He is also my medical POA and executor of my estate in the event that I would die first. We have a clause for incapacitation, I think.
Tomorrow, I need to get out my legal documents and review what they actually say as I haven’t looked at this paperwork in three years.
For those who have already been through this situation, what advice do you have for us? Other than reviewing these documents, what’s the next step?

My spouse experienced a right brain ischemic stroke that affected the left side of his body, especially his hand function and ability to walk.
He has been through extensive rehabilitation including occupational therapy and physical therapy, but nothing seems to improve.
His neurologist told us that with strokes, victims plateaux quickly and regress easily. The story is different from person to person.
We discussed the use of Myomo or Ipsyhand with him earlier this year, but his opinion was that these were “gadgets” that wind up in the closet after a short time.
I wondered what your personal experience has been regarding these two products? We don’t know anyone who has utilized them. Thanks for your insights.
Although the ads say that they are covered by Medicare, it seems like we encountered some roadblocks the last time we checked into this a few years ago.
Has anyone with chemotherapy-induced neuropathy achieved improvements after undergoing treatments at these clinics?
I underwent six months of chemotherapy for breast cancer this year and developed a bad case of chemotherapy-induced neuropathy in both feet and hands.
Despite taking Gabapentin and doing physical therapy, the neuropathy is terrible. I’m almost desperate for something that will help as it is affecting my balance and mobility.
I’m leery of specialized clinics after a bad experience at a different type of medical clinic in south OKC which specialized in doing plasma injections in knees and other joints.
I spent $2,400 there for three treatments that did absolutely nothing. (I wound up having a total knee replacement.) So, I thought I would reach out here. I don’t want to make a mistake like that again.

I’m curious what others have done regarding your lack of eyebrows. Unfortunately I lost all body hair other than a few stray hairs on my head and also some eyelashes.
My eyebrows were always thin and light before chemotherapy, so if I show up with dark brows now, it will look weird. It wasn’t as noticeable because my bangs covered them up when I had hair.
My oncologist said that my hair should grow back eventually, but I haven’t seen much growth since the date of my last treatment which was in June.
A person I encountered at my local post office commented on the fact that I’d lost my eyebrows, so I know it must be noticeable. Most of the time, I wear chemo cap head coverings made of cotton or bamboo to cover my head because it’s just too hot to wear a wig in the summer.
At my chemotherapy facility, almost all of the patients (both men and women) looked like me, so I rarely felt self-conscious about my appearance.
Any suggestions? I realize that losing almost all of my body hair isn’t the worst thing in the world. Thanks for your thoughts and ideas on this topic.
My spouse had a massive stroke in 2023 and is in a wheelchair. He is unable to climb stairs or walk more than a few steps at a time. He has expressed an interest in seeing “The Odyssey” in a movie theatre.
However, I have concerns about being on the lower level for a three hour movie and looking up at the screen the entire time. He already has neck and back problems.
Does anyone who is in a wheelchair or a caregiver for a person in a wheelchair have any recommendations for an accessible movie theatre in the OKC area? Thanks!
For those who are past chemotherapy, how long did it take before your neuropathy subsided or vanished completely? My last chemotherapy was on June 19th if this year, and my lumpectomy was last week.
Last week, I was waiting to be taken into surgery and decided to turn on the television and watch “Friends” in my pre-surgery room to help pass the time. I wound up watching three episodes in a row and noted how great Matt LeBlanc was towards the end of the series, especially when he and Rachael were living together in his apartment.
Looking back, I wonder if the writers were helping to set him up for his own series by writing scenes where he was able to express a wide range of emotions, rather than the somewhat one dimensional character from the beginning of the show.
I’ve read that Matt was always prepared and usually knew everyone else’s lines in addition to his own.
Anyone else agree with me regarding Joey being the heart and soul of the show?
For those who have been through the experience, what was your pain level following the procedure, on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the worst? I am my spouse’s full-time caregiver following his stroke 2 1/2 years ago, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out how I can make this work.
I’ve always been baffled by the fact that Kody expected everyone to worship Robyn as the family queen, even any future wives that might be added to the family.
Remember Kody’s statement about the future wife would need to be an “absolute diamond” who would have to love Robyn as much as him?
