Convincing you to read The Everlasting - my 6⭐️ read
i just finished this book and idk what to do with myself 😭 devastatingly good. no notes. the writing is beautiful, the story completely swept me away, and i’m still sitting here trying to process everything.
i think this is the first time i’ve read a book that uses first-person pov AND second-person narration, and i thought it was such a clever way of telling the story. it felt different at first, but i then understood that it wasn’t just a stylistic choice, and it actually added something to the whole experience.
it’s an adult fantasy with a unique romance plotline. veryy different from the other romantasy books that i’ve read. and honestly, i don’t even want to talk about the plot because i believe you should go into this book knowing as little as possible.

adding this section here because i feel like i need to yap about the romance for a second because THE YEARNINGGGG 😭😭 i don’t even know how to explain it without giving anything away, but these characters had me sick. >!there’s just something about wanting something so badly when everything seems to be working against you. i wanted them to have their happiness so bad. i wanted them to have MORE. i just wanted to put them in a little bubble where nothing could hurt them for once.!<
>!that said, i did find the romance a little too insta-love-y for my liking at first. BUT the more i think about the story, the more i understand why the romance was written that way. idk HAHAHA i guess it’s one of those things that makes more sense when you look at the story as a whole.!<
this book absolutely destroyed me. it made me nervous, made me cry, broke my heart, and somehow still managed to leave me with something so lovely. idk how to explain it without sounding dramatic, but i just felt so much reading this.
i wish i could erase my memory and read this for the first time all over again.
