Sometime last year near Christmas, I saw this item posted to Facebook marketplace for $100. I really really wanted it but didn’t really have the means to afford it at the time.
Well my partner ended up offering $60 to the seller and they accepted, so he surprised me with it near the holidays. I haven’t had the chance to actually ever open it up until now because of moving, space constraints and everything.
It’s basically almost brand new!
Complete with it’s original shipping box with ‘OPEN IMMEDIATELY’ in large font.
It has so many little cool things, a massive poster, a coloring contest page, and even a promotional booklet for Blockbuster/movie stores 🐺

Any Advice on Music Organizing Y1?

Hey yall ~ I have run into a couple annoying issues when transferring over music. I just now have a mega folder of music > MP3 > artist name > album name - which seems to be working fine for the most part.

But sometimes this is skewed when there are compilations on albums. I also want to know how to remove the file type in the name (like .mp3) and the easiest ways to have lyrics on songs?

Some of the issue may be from iTunes itself just being ass, so I might try using my Windows music player instead, I just haven't tried yet.

What do people prefer? What's your process up on burning and adding on new music to your Y1?

My first theme - LSD Dream Emulator 👁️

Just finished trying out making my first theme! Based on one of my favorite games ever - LSD Dream Emulator on the PS1. It took me a while to find all the pngs and get it right but I think it looks good :)

Only issue is the screen lock off/on doesn’t seen to work (even though I set images to both) and changing equalizers seems to crash it.
I used the Y1 theme editor application to help me for the most part. I will post a link to it when I can if anyone is interested ⭐️

Installing Rockbox still works?

I just got my Innioasis in the mail today, I had planned to install Rockbox and have a dual boot, but upon looking at the website and some other comments, I am seeing people saying the newest out of the box software for the Inniaosis is uncompatible now and to either reinstall an older stock software on it before running Rockbox, OR to use the nightly release (unstable version) of Rockbox with the new OS.

Are people having luck with this? Are they still able to run Rockbox on their devices? If so, am I safe to just follow all the steps in the guide here expect to choose the nightly version instead of stable? Thanks for any help !

EDIT: I have now read this post -- https://www.reddit.com/r/innioasis/comments/1st4dmc/psa_please_do_not_install_firmware_updates/ and unless things have changed recently, it seems I am just best to stay away from Rockbox on my Y1 and wait until there can be a work around. Real big suck cause I just got this after waiting months of doing research :/
