Is this device worth switching to?

Thinking about getting the elite just to try something new. What are rhe pros and cons to these? Software wise , company wise, device wise, and anything else.

Do you guys only buy this because of the keyboard ?

This would be a second phone of mine. I already have a 17 pro and a 7 fold but I love tech and would love something new. I just stumbled across these so I don't know much about the product or the history. Let me know !

Jelly Max

Hi,

I'm thinking about the Jelly Max; I'm sick of the so called compact phones put out by the big manufacturers.

I'm in Australia, and would like to see if anyone's got the phone here. How well it works, whether or not you like it.

Is the battery life reasonable? Does it run all your apps?

Will it run properly here?

Thanks

How are people reviewing Titan 2 Elite if it’s not released?

How are people posting reviews of the Titan 2 elite if it’s not released? Their website says it’s releasing in August. Does anyone have real world reviews that are not paid influencer review units ?

S25U to a Titan Elite 2 Pro

Got tired of the same old, same old. Anybody else have a Blackberry as their first smartphone? Would also love to hear any real user experiences you have, can only take so much influencer videos before I hear the same things repeatedly.

I just got scammed by Unihertz

TLDR: Don't buy any of the keyboard phones that this company is selling. Their hardware does not last long, and they don't have replacements available. Unihertz's warranty is also really really useless.

I don't have any other option after trying to get my Titan 2 fixed through customer support, so this is the only other way I can think of now.

I've been a supporter ever since I bought the Titan Pocket (whose keyboard broke because I put it on a wet table, my fault I admit) and supported the Titan 2 on Kickstarter.

If I sound so dramatic, just keep in mind that I'm not wealthy and that the Titan 2's price on Kickstarter is more than half a month's wages (hello third-world living).

After less than 8 months of using the Titan 2 as my only phone, the "M/?" key stopped registering inputs consistently. I've taken good care of this phone, making sure that it didn't get wet etc. especially after what happened to my Titan Pocket.

I can help but think that customer support is just dodging servicing my device because of the hassle, claiming that their warranty only covers hardware issues and not software issues. They claim that a factory reset would work, but I've had this phone long enough that it would just be a pain to get everything set up again.

What's worse is that Unihertz doesn't even have the replacement parts for their most recent phone. I can only imagine how much worse it will be for the Titan 2 Elite, a phone obviously so rushed so that they can beat the competitor.

This is so disappointing since I could've just spent the money that Unihertz is so reluctant to refund on a conventional smart phone. I use this phone for work so typing out emails and messages missing the letter M is just so stupid and annoying. I've accepted when I backed this phone on Kickstarter that all other features of the Titan 2 will be subpar, but the keyboard will be worth it. Ironic that it was the first thing that broke on my Titan 2.

If any of you are like me who will probably spend a painful chunk of their savings looking for a keyboard phone from this company, I suggest you look elsewhere.

For reference, here is the email thread, videos demonstrating the problems, and all other stuff that Unihertz customer support made me supply just to make me run in circles:

Will titan 2 elite be available on Amazon?

I’ve seen people say they bought the titan 2 on amazon with warranty but I don’t see it available there. Does anyone know if the new one will be on Amazon when it releases ?

Custom skin and Blackberry mod Titan 2 Elite

I'm thinking of putting a custom skin on my T2E, a somewhat textured finish with the silver blackberry logo on the back - just because. Has anyone tried this with their Titan 2? And is there a company that can make custom skins, or will for the T2E?

Anyone have experience with the Jelly Max on Mint Mobile?

TLDR; jelly max not fully compatible with mint???

I bought the jelly max after researching what would work, I asked mint mobile directly if it's compatible, they said yes, I checked the unihertz website, and saw other posts about unihertz phones working with mint.

So I ordered one, to add to my existing mint plan. Activated the sim in the new phone, and got on the network just fine. The problems so far have been that I can't use visual voicemail in the onboard phone app, and I can't adjust my APN settings because they're all greyed/locked out on my settings.

After emailing unihertz customer service, they told me to just switch to t-mobile. Mint is on the t mobile network though. I also spent 4 hours yesterday trying different mint customer service reps who all told me different things. One said I had to ask unihertz to unlock my phone, as previous mentioned, we know how that went. One rep said mint is only partially compatible, so for the best experience to use a different phone. One rep said to try all the different resets and empty caches and restarts etc... I tried literally everything.

Did I screw myself buying this phone to use on mint?

Switching to Jelly Star with Verizon

Hello! I have an iphone 12 that’s through verizon. I am wanting to get the Unihertz Jelly Star so bad. I’ve read mixed reviews with people using this phone on verizon- some being able to use Verizon on it through Textra while others aren’t able to get it to work at all. I would really hate to have to switch providers as i’ve used verizon for about 10 years now. But if i truly have to just to be able to use this phone… I must. top priorities are able to text and call and i am in some group messagings so that would be nice to have without any issues ofc.
Any thoughts from people would’ve used verizon on this phone with success?
would love to finally be able to ditch these big smartphones and ditch apple ecosystems for this little guy if possible!
Thanks for all inputs.

Potential Unihertz convert, have questions

My Google phone (Pixel 6 Pro) is nearing the end of its useful life and I like the look of the T2E as a replacement. I want a phone that's good at text and emails and written communication, not optimized for content consumption. I would rather not give more money to Google or Samsung if I can avoid it. I have two questions.

  1. I'm on T-Mobile right now but I'll be switching away from them. I haven't decided yet where I'm going, maybe Verizon. What is the current experience with trying to run these phones on Verizon? When Unihertz says it's not guaranteed to be compatible, or when users say that compatibility is iffy, what does this translate to in the real world?

  2. I don't like how the big makers' cameras dream up details and try to create pictures out of nothing at high zoom. I want my photos to show what's actually there, not what the camera thinks should be there based on other images. What kind of AI smoothing or detail-creating is going on in Unihertz phones, if any?
