When I first studied photography we shot everything on film, mostly black & white because it was cheaper/easier to develop and print, but it was only after getting my X-Half last week I fell in love with shooting native B&W again. The ACROS simulation with the red filter applied feels so much like shooting on film, really love how their shot turned out straight from the camera.
Nearly everywhere I looked only the Link 2 and Link 3 were specifically listed as being compatible to print directly from the X-Half, but I found one random specs sheet on the American Fuji website that said the Link 1 was also compatible, so I when saw a Link 1 on eBay I decided to give it a gamble. Worked straight out the box! Instantly paired and was printing right away.
The printer was listed as ‘new but broken/for parts’ as I don’t think the person knew how to connect to the printer (you have to use the app/a compatible camera not your phone’s Bluetooth settings), so scored it for £30. Possibly some revisions of the printer won’t work, so YMMV, but the one I got works like a charm.
You see these older printers going for a bargain sometimes, so thought this info would help someone out there!
