Roku Ultra (4850X) + YouTube app stuttering >1.0x speed

Got banned from the r/roku channel for asking this simple question.

Is anyone else experiencing issues with the YouTube app when playback is >1.0x speed? The audio and video quickly get out of sync, and the playback stutters for a moment every 3-5 seconds.

I can't find anyone online talking about it, but it's happened now to 3 different ultras, one of which was brand new out of the box today.

I've tried factory resetting them all. No clue what to do other than find a different streaming device.

Is there anyone else out there having this problem?

Anyone in Netherlands right now?

I'm on Starter (light speed) + using the complimentary 10 GB data only esim (via Play). Data only esim has been working fine for the last week, but suddenly stopped working. Support replaced it with a new esim, but it still won't connect to any of the 3 available networks. We've done all the troubleshooting steps.

Has this affected anyone else? Every trip I seem to run into issues with the data only esim.

Support suggested I just pay $100 for unlimited premium (to get more roaming data), but I don't really need it. I just wish the play esims were more reliable.

Curious if this affected anyone else?

On Galaxy S25. Have my primary line on light speed, backup line on warp (usually disabled while abroad), and also use the 10gb complementary data only esim.

All has worked fine for the last few weeks. A couple of days ago, I worked with support to try and get wifi calling working (we couldn't fix). Since then, my light speed line has not be able to connect to any data - I can make calls, but no data or mms (which, to me, points to apn settings).

We've checked all the basics: apn settings, roaming settings, disabling secondary sims. USMobile has tinkered with various things behind the scenes as well. No luck.

There are 4 main networks in Italy: itim, Vodafone, windtre and iliad. Light speed and the data only esim seems to only connect to windtre. When I switch to data only esim, I get data instantly. When I switch to light speed, I never get data. Ie. This is not a phone signal issue - it's something to do with tmobile roaming configuration behind the scenes (I think). Again, this worked 2 or 3 days ago with no issues.

Is anyone else here experiencing something similar?

I've been working with u/macnmariam who's been helpful, but we couldn't fix. Apparently this is being escalated internally.

I have not had good luck roaming or using wifi calling on light speed. My warp backup line + my wifes phone on warp worked well. I think I might need to use something other than light speed on my next trip.

It doesn't seem to be advertised particularly well, but unlimited starter plans get a complementary data only esim each month. I think the details vary by country, but in most European countries, you get 10gb to use across them.

Ive been doing this for a few years, but what I didn't think to do until now was time the activation so that it expires half way through my trip, at which point I activate the second one. Did this just now for the first time and worked flawlessly.

I will caution that I've had trouble in the past, where the data only esims won't connect to any network (it's usually an issue with apn settings - and I've burned a frustrating hour or 2 chatting with tech support to resolve), but it's gotten better over time and worked without issue this trip.

All of the above is in addition to the 1gb native roaming that comes with starter.

Update: only applies to starter annual, not monthly.
