Applying makeup with eczema

I know you are technically meant to avoid makeup if you have face eczema and although I go makeup-free most days, I am hoping the makeup sub can relate to how hard it is to give up full glam. Makeup is one of my biggest hobbies so having to avoid it completely lowkey makes me sad. Is there any way I can still apply makeup whilst minimising the impact? I’m also curious about whether there’s something I can use as a skin protectant to create a buffer between my skin and the makeup.

Here are some things I’ve been doing:

- Avoiding alcohol heavy setting sprays
- Cleaning brushes often
- stippling foundation gently instead of buffing (less agitation)
- slathering face in cicaplast after removing makeup

Does anyone else have any tips?

What to do when you feel a flare up coming?

I’m starting to feel some tingling in my usual flare up spots (around the eyes and mouth) and I think this means a bigger flare up is coming. Is there anything I can do to nip this in the bud before it gets worse? For now I’ve taken an antihistamine and applied some Avene Cicalfate.

Will you be switching over to the SKIN1004 TECA line?

Those of you who are fans of the original centella range, what are your thoughts on the new line? Have you tried it/will you be switching? How do they compare in terms of performance? I am a bit confused on who Skin1004 are targeting with this new line in comparison to the other centella ranges they offer as the product claims seem basically the same.

I’ve been using the original centella ampoule for over a year and love it for my sensitive skin, so I am curious about the TECA line. But also if it’s not broke why fix it?

What are your thoughts?

Imagine feeling a little bloated or being on your period and then being forced to dance in a latex bodycon minidress for the whole world to see. The Pinky Up era has had them wear the most restrictive, impractical and uncomfortable clothing on stage that they are forced to dance in. So much layering, dangling fabrics, corsets and body con. It’s only a matter of time before a malfunction. So much is expected of female pop stars and I just feel like we’re going so backward
