Lidl Connect is now available

Just bought it for €8.99 for life which is actually amazing value. I’m excited to see how it holds up in the coming months considering the benefits that come with it.

I was previously paying €20 to Three for shite benefits that only last 28 days, so it’s definitely worth having a look at especially if you’re paying a lot of money each month.

Will definitely be holding onto both of my eSims since there’s no contract with this new plan in case it doesn’t meet expectations.

Unauthorised bank transactions

Just got home from work a while ago and got a text from AIB about a €2300 transaction to confirm whether or not it was me. I immediately replied with “9” to state that it was not my transaction.

The money was taken from my account, but the status is currently pending so I immediately contacted AIB’s Fraud Helpline. They froze my account and also cancelled another attempted transaction of €1700.

This is the first time that this has happened to me and I have not clicked on any phishing messages or used my physical debit card in years.

I just want to know if others have had a similar experience and how likely am I to recover the stolen funds as it’s basically my monthly salary?

What’s a game that gives you that rush no matter how good/bad the game is?

I’m looking for a game to get trapped in that I can really put some hours into for several months/years. I’ve been on PC for over a year now, but have yet to find a game that sticks.

On console I’ve spent countless hours on AAA titles like RL, COD, FIFA and what not, but need a new experience. I was thinking about going down the Tarkov route, but the game seems like a mixed bag for new and existing players and feels like a gamble to buy.

What’s a game that gives keeps you trapped and engaged no matter how good or bad the game is or gets over the years?

Are streaming platforms intentionally punishing people using content filters?

Basically, I have a custom filter setup to block all ads on platforms like YouTube and especially Twitch since I watch a lot of streams. The shields and built in ad blockers are great, but I haven’t tested it vanilla in a while as I used to get minor ads on Twitch once every hour.

The script that I inputed into my filter list under the content filters tab on Brave seems to have taken a hit in the last couple of days. I’m unable to follow new channels, streams take 5-10s to load and Twitch itself present a a pop up (Blocking ads - Autoplay) when I click onto a stream.

I cleared cache, deleted cookies, reinstalled brave and still the same. I can’t help but to wonder these streaming platforms are intentionally trying to slow users down who take ad blocking to the extreme, but there could be a bug that I might not be aware of.

Has anyone else experienced a similar instance even on other platforms?
