Anyone else having this problem with phone calls?

I’m on the 17 pro and everytime someone phones me, even if do not disturb and all similar settings are turned off, and even when my phone is on ringer, I don’t get the incoming call screen at all. In fact, the only times I have the chance to answer someone’s call is if they start leaving a voice note.

If they start leaving a voice note, then my phone notifies me and if I’m lucky I can quickly join the call. But otherwise I don’t even get the incoming call screen and I just miss the call. Apologies if this has been asked before, I couldn’t find anything, but how do I actually fix this?

Is Tirana safe at the moment?

Hey everyone, I will be visiting Albania next week. But I have heard about the protesting going on there. I cannot find much information about it, are they mostly peaceful protests? Should I as a tourist expect any problems, confrontation or violence? I hope that things get better for the Albanian people

eSIM in Albania

Hi there, I will be travelling to Albania next week for 1 week. Ideally I will set up an eSIM before I arrive so I don’t have to wait at Vodafone in the airport.

What are the best eSIMS in terms of connectivity, signal service and price in Albania? I will mostly be in Tiranë, Durrës and Vlorë.

Thank you so much.

Best way to get around without a hire car?

Hi all, I am visiting Albania next month. I cannot hire a car and will be spending time in Tirana. I am aware that there is no need to hire a car there anyway due to the traffic. However I will also be travelling to other cities such as Durrës and may go further down south to places like Vlorë.

My questions are:

What is the best way to get to and from Tirana airport? A taxi or a bus?

Which taxi service is the most reliable? I have heard of one called Patoko but not sure which is the best

Is it viable to get buses from Tirana/Durrës down south?

Thank you

Does anyone know this man?

Has anyone else ever been approached by a man in the city centre with medium length brown hair, black glasses and who speaks with an Irish accent?

I’ve been living in Bath for just short of a year now and he’s approached me a few times giving me the same spiel word for word almost, the first time outside the small Sainsbury’s and the second next to the old mineral water hospital.

It sounds something like this, he’ll basically stand in front of you and say “Excuse me” and then “You’re the only man who’s man enough to stop and look me in the eye….. I’ve only got 8 months to live and Im asking for some money to get into a hostel”

I’ve stopped and spoke to him each time, and sometimes he talks about his illness and how he is coming to terms with it, and shows me random injuries/marks on his body. I’ve gave him money each time, but I just feel uneasy about the situation and hope this guy is alright. Even if he is not telling the truth about his situation or why he needs the money, I think about him often.

However the most recent time I saw him, I was running low on cash and so I only gave him some of it. But then he saw the rest of it in my wallet and basically haggled for it. So now I sometimes am hesitant about going through certain areas of the city. Maybe I am far too gullible and find it hard to say no, but does anyone know this guy or anything about him?

Edit: thanks everyone for the responses. It seems everyone does know this guy. After reading some of the comments some of you reminded me that he has also to me about being a war veteran, and shown me the hole in his chest and other random details. The first time I saw him he mentioned a heart surgery and the most recent time it was cancer. I’ll be more wary next time
