Hi, I just harvested my first grow.
I would really appreciate some honest opinions. In my opinion, I harvested them a bit too late. Sadly, the veils are already pretty much open in some of them. As I said, I’m a first-time grower, and when I went to sleep yesterday they weren’t that big yet. When I woke up, they had grown a lot, so I got scared and harvested them as soon as possible.
Also, why are some of them so much bigger than the others? Lol
Hi, I have a question about when to harvest mushrooms from a Golden Teacher grow kit.
From what I’ve read, the best time to harvest is when the veil under the cap has formed and is just starting to tear. Is that correct? I also have a situation where some fruiting bodies are much more developed than others, like in my photo. What should I do in that case? Do you harvest everything at once, or pick only the most mature ones and leave the smaller ones to develop more?
I’d also appreciate any tips for this stage. Should I be increasing fresh air exchange or airing it out more often now? Anything else I should watch out for to avoid drying them out or affecting the next flush?

Two days ago I had a vocal fold injection with hyaluronic acid. Since then my voice has been really squeaky and high-pitched, almost like Mickey Mouse.
I know it is still very early after the procedure, but I’m wondering if this is a normal part of healing or if other people had a similar experience. Did your voice sound strange or overly high at first? If so, how long did it take before it started to settle down?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who went through something similar.
Hi everyone, I am a complete beginner and this is my first growbox so I would really appreciate any advice.
I started the Golden Teacher kit on April 24th, so about 12 days ago. On the first day I soaked it in water for around 16 hours, then drained it, removed the lid and placed it inside a sealed bag with filters.
I added about 150 ml of water to the bottom of the bag to maintain humidity. When the humidity drops, I lightly mist the inside walls with two small sprays total. I also air it out once a day for about a minute.
The temperature is stable at around 21°C. It is not in direct sunlight, but also not in complete darkness, just on a shelf away from the window.
The top layer is a fiber mat that came with the kit. The instructions said to lightly poke it with a fork before soaking to help with water absorption, so I did that.
I have attached a photo and I am wondering if everything looks normal or if I am doing something wrong. Any tips would be really appreciated.
