Building a fairy house out of found materials. Work in progress!

I was inspired by the ‘maryinthefairyland’ and crochetcrazyhelen accounts on instagram, so i bought an inspirational book by Sally J Smith znd started just… glueing. I’m very happy with my crooked lil houses. I might go out tomorrow for some dried moss.

Deciding to channel all my energy into whimsy and built this fairy house from stuff found in my garden

It’s a sunflower that dried out, a bunch of dried out zinnia and dahlias and such. I got the inspiration from a book by Sally J Smith and ‘crochet crazy Helen’ on Facebook. Only the glue and the little bit of toilet roll i used to build around arent from the yard.

My kid want to put it outside and see if a fairy moves in so i am going along with that.
Stay weird everyone!

Just got this new book in for the library and it… reminded me of something

Disclaimer: i know the author just wants to show different ways of living, he also has one of a family that lives in a boat. It’s a cute book and and i love the artwork. i just cringed a bit thinking of a certain other bus. And boat.

Matilda, born in the library garden, loves to snooze in the sun. Does not like new people, noises and moved furniture.

I love her colouring, zero white but lots of beige and brown and even a bit of orange in there. She recently lost some weight (intentional) and looks really shiny and healthy. Fun fact: she has two sets of pink toebeans and two sets of black!

Yes, she’s very judgy, especially when it comes to her dim but adorkable adopted tuxie sister.

Immensely excited by these sweetpeas! Took me a few seasons to get them (planted way too late or too early) but they are SO pretty

Climbing rose, bought on a whim! First cut flower.

I bought this is one basically as a stick and gave it a nice spot and a climbing rack. This is the first rose it grew! There are three or four more buds on the plant, so i’m happy its thriving. Not a clue on the type, bought it at the local garden centre.

I puked up my last two migraine meds

Storm was coming in last night, after a hear wave. Had one of the worst migraines, obviously. Sweating heavily, intense pain, nauseated. I was on our garden bench at midnight, having just taken my first one and trying to find cool air. I puked (which i rarely do). So i decide to take my last med in my package… and i puked again, which never happens.

So now it’s almost 9 am on sunday and i am waiting for the emergency pharmacy to open (otherwise you pay weekend and night charge) I’m crossing my fingers they have triptans in stock. Luckily the very worst pain seems to have passed.

I went through this pack way too fast with the heatwave. Sigh.
