sweetest little orange guy

immediately after coming in he burrowed himself under the comforter and pillow and started kneading my hand :3 he fell asleep for a bit while purring loudly and all i could see sticking out of the blankets were his paws. currently, our dogs barking woke him up so he moved and is now laying on my legs

[ISO] decent turnip prices due to silly mistake i made

edit: sold them, thank you!! acnh subreddit saving my bells once again

whenever i miss a day of playing acnh, i end up going back and completing the day before moving forward. i am currently on saturday, may 30th, and obviously today is sunday, june 14th. since it is sunday i immediately was like “ooo i need to buy turnips for a good price” and bought about 300,000 bells worth of turnips on another island, not realizing i would have to sell them today or they will rot the next day since it will be sunday in my game.

so… does anybody happen to have turnips selling for a decent price? i feel so incredibly silly and i know this is a long shot but i don’t know what else to do besides hope that somebody has decent turnip prices and isn’t on sunday in their game

i have some DIYs you can have or can water your flowers etc :D tia even if i can’t sell them, i’ll take the L because i am so mad at myself for buying them before thinking LMFAO

seeking resources for friend/their family risking homelessness

hi! i am posting here to get resources for my friend and their family who is risking homelessness. TLDR at the end because this is a lot of text.

they are 22 turning 23, and have been unemployed as of late after relocating with their mom and siblings to northeast philly from south jersey. they do not have their GED or drivers license but do have their legal ID. their family is being housed by the woman's VA program in philly (their mom is a veteran).

their mother, who is also a past addict (they suspect that she is using again) has disappeared and hasn't been home since april- she is MIA and nobody has been able to contact her. their grandmom has come to live with them as of late to help with their siblings (who are both minors).

through the VA program, their mom was able to get their rent discounted, but because of her now documented disappearance their rent is going to go back up and they will most likely be getting evicted within the next 3 months or sooner. their grandmom only makes so much monthly through disability and will not be able to keep up with their rent.

my friend has been looking for work but hasn't been able to find a job since moving to PA, lack of transportation has been a huge issue. they have significant experience in child care and are looking to obtain their GED/drivers license and further their education.

they would also not want to separate from their siblings.

i am located in SJ, and have been trying to gather resources for them, their siblings and grandmom. i am posting here in hopes for recommendations, resources, and where they should go from here. mental health resources would also be appreciated as my friend is also in need of intensive therapy, med management, and possible residential/inpatient stay down the line.

the case manager at my IOP recommended the jobcorps program and it seems like a great opportunity, my friend just does not know where to even start in terms of getting back on their feet and regaining employment with everything going on. every step they take feels like 5 steps backward.

thank you in advance. i wanted to give excessive information because this situation feels too hyper specific to google, and i would want recommendations tailored to their specific needs and situation. let me know if any other information is needed.

TLDR; my 22 year old friend, their siblings and grandmom are risking homelessness due to their mom's disappearance. she is a known addict who was sober for awhile but they suspect her to be using again. their mom was receiving financial/housing assistance through the philly woman's VA center, but their rent is going to be going back up since her disappearance was officially documented. my friend, their minor siblings, and grandmom are now risking homelessness and i am seeking out resources for them. resources including financial assistance, housing assistance, mental health services, and resources to help them get back on their feet (getting GED, gaining employment, furthering education etc) would be helpful. thank you!
