My daughter’s picky eating is driving me up the wall and her pediatrician thinks it’s no big deal

Basically my daughter only ever wants treats and dairy. I’ve tried being sensitive to her preferences but over the past year she palate has become more and more restricted. Im going to bring it up again at my daughters next ped appt and beg for help because what the frick??? I literally wouldn’t be surprised if she has dropped off her growth curve. Here is an exhaustive list of foods she will eat:

Pancakes

Toast with jam and butter

Butter slices

Mac and cheese

Butter noodles

Pizza

Smoked fish

Milk, I feel like this hardly counts

Cheese

Sweets

That’s it. When she eats her food she will also often gag and spit food out. She hates anything that isn’t homogenous. I made blueberry muffins and she wouldn’t eat it bc of the blueberries. Who doesn’t like blueberry muffins????

I swear there’s something off, but no one will take it seriously and I feel so frustrated and upset that she may not be getting her complete nutrition. Our ped told us to give her a multivitamin. ???? How is that teaching her how to eat healthy? I love to cook but now I dread it because I know she’ll see what I’ve made and throw a fit. I called an OT place but they will only take kids with a referral and our pediatrician just keeps saying to wait her out. Well it’s been a year and it’s gotten worse.

I guess I’m just venting now. I don’t really want advice bc I’ve heard/read it all. Nothing works.

BAH!

Just got meadowlark learning’s preschool curriculum…

To be fair, I actually really like the content, however, I’m fairly certain that a lot of the art and images in the curriculum itself are AI generated, which is disappointing to me. So if you are looking to avoid anything with AI generated art in it, meadowlark learning does seem to use chat GPT to generate images despite claiming to have artists that they hired. The books themselves have a credited illustrator, at least.

Heavy wetter, overnight trouble shooting

My boy just turned 5 months and he is peeing through everything! He’s always been a heavy wetter and would pee through disposable diapers at night constantly as a newborn. For reference he’s a very large guy for his age. He’s already 24lbs and he just turned 5months. My husband thinks I’m crazy for wanting to cloth at night but he’s peeing through everything anyways. The other day I had him in an Esembly inner with a disana wool cover, he peed once and it went right through! I was shocked bc I used to use the disana all the time with my first.

Anyways I’d love to hear your overnight cloth set ups. Right now I’m thinking

GMD large prefold

GMD overnight fleece and hemp insert

Wool liner

Disana cover

He typically sleeps from 9pm-6AM without waking(or really just turning over in bed to nurse, not a full wake). I usually change him around this time and he has either leaked or the disposable is FULL.
