Should I start a Cursive Writing Program?

Is it js me or have y'all noticed that fewer and fewer ppl are learning cursive? I think it's such an amazing skill that's slowly being forgotten. It's honestly so sad bc cursive is a part of history, creativity, and self-expression.

I've literally been writing in cursive for 11 years, and I'm thinking abt starting a program where students can learn and practice cursive through fun lessons, worksheets, and activities.

Would anyone actually be interested in smth like this???

Science curriculum recommendations for 6th grade please

I prefer something secular or at least that doesn't teach a young earth model. The problem I'm having while looking online is so much of the curriculum doesn't give you a "sneak peek" ie there's no way for me to see exactly what the lessons, etc will look like to know if it will be a good fit for my child. TIA

Is EIW secular?

All my research points to EIW (Essentials in writing) being completely secular but people on FB seem to be contradicting this. Are they confusing EIW with the Institute for excellence in writing (IEW) that is completely different and made by a Christian company?
Can anyone please confirm if EIW is fully secular?

Experience with OpenEd? Public school/Homeschool option

So OpenEd is now available in my state and wondering how it went for anyone else who joined them?

We have to do weekly check-ins, virtual activities, required subjects and testing, so it seems like a lot to balance when we are usually pretty chill and have untraditional subjects (i.e., my 12yr old is learning medical terminology).

Just got meadowlark learning’s preschool curriculum…

To be fair, I actually really like the content, however, I’m fairly certain that a lot of the art and images in the curriculum itself are AI generated, which is disappointing to me. So if you are looking to avoid anything with AI generated art in it, meadowlark learning does seem to use chat GPT to generate images despite claiming to have artists that they hired. The books themselves have a credited illustrator, at least.

What yall think about homeschool?

For my junior year, I’m thinking about doing homeschool and possibly graduating through it. Of course, there are both positives and negatives to homeschooling.
One of my biggest concerns is the social aspect. I know homeschooling can sometimes feel lonely, and that’s something I’m worried about. However, the homeschool program I’m considering still allows students to attend prom, participate in sports, and join extracurricular activities.
Another major benefit is that they offer a program where I can graduate while earning an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree within two years. I also plan to work during the school year to help pay off my car, save money for a house or apartment, and contribute toward college tuition.
I still have doubts because I know I would miss out on some traditional high school experiences and memories. At the same time, from a career and financial standpoint, homeschooling seems like a smart choice. I’m trying to figure out whether the opportunities it provides outweigh the experiences I might miss.
