Wales, UK; anyone out there?

I'm from near Welshpool in Wales, 19M, autistic, i play guitar, I'm good at fiddling with electronics, I'm very close to my mum, and right now I'm friendless. I'm completely uninterested in "romance".

We've always found the best place for me in the alternative education community and made some excellent friends there. My upbringing has always been child-led and I've been empowered to follow my interests and self-learn at my own pace, and now after all that i do not want to move on to overly structured, scripted education such as college, or get some Sisyphean 9-5 job, especially after seeing so many people struggle. I want to do something really worthwhile that i enjoy.

We travel long distances and can meet up anywhere within about 2 hours if it's worthwhile. The rest of the information that follows is supplementary and if you can't be bothered, you needn't read it.

In my early teens i fell in with the wrong people and became friends with a couple engaging in underage sex. I wasn't yet aware of the implications of this and put up with it, even as they increasingly tried to involve me, by just treating it as a joke. Fortunately they're not in my life anymore.

My dad has nothing to do with us and my extended family has cut us out. Since i turned about 16 we've been losing my friends. Some were a bit nasty anyway, some changed and became unbearable, some vanished inexplicably. I was planning to jam and possibly form a band with 3 friends and they've completely disappeared. I'm not clingy or demanding, i have the bad examples set me by my dad and the couple i mentioned to bias me against that behaviour. I just can't understand where all my friends went.

More understandably, some have just moved on to college, and even if i wanted to, my friend group was so scattered (we had friends as far as Worcestershire) that i couldn't follow them in if i wanted to. One old friend is a Polish immigrant and would probably be looked on by the government as a squatter if he didn't take that path. He still finds time to drop me a line every few weeks.

When i was 17 i was wandering around a park with my mum while my sister hung out with her friends. I sat around, queued for the swings, wandered, i had no friends to hang with, and then someone called park security and told them i was a paedophile staring at children - in fairness i look mature and beardy. I was lucky my mum was there, and they were embarrassed when they tried to arrest a 17-year-old, but still... now I'm old, i can't go to the park and exercise, i can't wander about on my own for fear it'll happen again.

We don't live a cloistered existence, we always follow our interests and go to interesting places, but still, apparently there's not much we can do. We've searched for and continue to try neurodivergent and homeducation groups of all kinds throughout Wales and the West Midlands, but this is long enough already and i can't be bothered to write a full account to justify myself to whoever you are.

Anybody out there?

What's the situation with pirate radio in the UK?

For my specific situation, i want to set up a broadcasting station that only plays good music because i think most of the others just play the sponsored songs on repeat. Something like Wayne's World on radio. I'd like to make sure obscure artists get some airplay, like how the Who became popular in the '60s. I'm extremely inexperienced with radios; i have a couple of walkie talkies and a computer and not much money. I'm just interested in the rings I'd have to jump through legally if i couldn't sneak around it.

I think livestream is kind of swamped for choice, so I'd rather have something you can just tune into if you're passing in a car and fiddling with the radio

Metalheads of Wales

Anyone out there late teens early 20s? I'm 19m from near Oswestry/Welshpool. I'm very amateur indeed on my guitar and really i just need a few musical friends to help motivate me practicing and learn alongside, so you can be as lazy and laid back as you like. It's even fine if you don't yet know how to play anything, if you're the right person I'd enjoy just hanging out.

I'd be open to all kinds of different methods and teachings and instruments. Generally if you get together any people who have an enthusiasm to talk about it works out alright. I'd rather people who are very relaxed about things. It'd probably never make it into a proper band, but we could all move on from here

Need a weird friend

I'm Welsh, 19, male, beardy, autistic, good at fiddling with electronics, i have a 7-string guitar, I'm close to my mum, I'm completely uninterested in romance. My dad has nothing to do with me and my extended family has cut us out.

We've always found the best place for me to be in the homeducation community and we made lots of excellent friends there. My upbringing has always been child-led. Now i do not want to go to college or work 9-5 for the sake of it.

In my early teens i became friends with a couple in an underage sexual relationship. It took me too long to fully understand the implications and i remained friends with them by just treating it like a joke, even as they tried to tell me about all the *things* they did. Fortunately they're not in my life anymore.

When i was 17 i was wandering around the park in the Dingle in Shrewsbury with my mum while my sister got to hang out with her friends. I was alone, queued for the swings, stood around a bit. Then someone called the police and told them i was a paedophile staring at children. They were embarrassed when they turned up to arrest an autistic 17-year-old with his mum, but still... now I'm old, i can't go to the park and exercise anymore, i can't wander in public spaces without fear of that happening again, and I'd be unable to defend myself.

Since i turned about 16 we've just lost friends. Some were a bit nasty anyway, some changed and became unbearable, some vanished inexplicably. I was gonna jam with 3 friends and they've literally disappeared from everything with no explanation. I'm not clingy or demanding, i have my dad's behaviour towards my mum, and that horrible couple, as examples of that, i know exactly who i don't want to be. I just can't understand why they disappeared.

More understandably, some have just moved on to college or work and no longer have time for me. Because we moved and because we've tried all over the place to find friends, my friend group is scattered all over up to 3 hours away and i couldn't really follow people in if i wanted to. One friend is a Polish immigrant and with the government's stance the way it is, he'd probably be looked on as a squatter if he didn't take that road. He still finds time to game with me every few weeks.

We've tried an inexhaustible list of options to make sure we're still getting out there. We always pursue our interests, we go somewhere special every week (went on a train ride the other day and a boat ride before that), we've tried neurodivergent and home-ed groups all over the place in various forms and they've all flopped. I can't be bothered to write out a full account just for the sake of justifying myself to you. No one responds when my mum reaches out with our story.

Anyone similar out there? Know any places i haven't tried?

Anyone else late teens to early 20s, absolutely lost and lonely, you illiterate fucks?

Ok, i should probably do a shorter post so idiots can read it.

I'm 19, I'm a bloke, i don't want to go to college, i don't want to get a shitty normal job working 9-5 like I'm supposed to, I'm completely asexual, i have a very close relationship with my mum, I have a 7-string electric guitar, I'm good at fiddling with electronics. My dad is a fucking cunt.

Anyone?

Anyone else late teens to early 20s, absolutely lost and lonely?

Not just feeling it, i mean literally.

We've always found the right place for me in the homeducation community and we made some excellent friends. We met Iris who really founded the whole thing, and she was amazing. We had a few problems in my early-mid teens... i fell in with the wrong sort of people, i was friends with couple in an underage sexual relationship. It took far to long for me to really understand the fact of how sickening this was. I still haven't talked about it really.

Since i turned 16, i kept on losing friends. Sometimes people change and become unbearable, some were false friends from the start. some people have literally just disappeared from everything. I'm honestly not clingy or demanding, I've had my mum's ex and that couple i mentioned to set me an example against that, I know exactly what i don't want to be like. I just can't fathom why all these people i liked have disappeared. I was gonna make music with 3 friends and they've literally vanished.

More understandably, some other people have just gone on to college. The problem with that is my friend group is so scattered (i live in Wales and since we moved i had many friends in Worcestershire) i couldn't really follow them into college even if i wanted to. One of my friends in college is a Polish immigrant, and with the government's stance the way it is, he'd probably be looked on as a squatter if he didn't take that road. He's still wonderful actually, he fits in time to play games with me and nothing is his fault. It's just not enough for me as i am now to have only one friend who i can only socialise with online.

I've never liked meeting friends through online services, games and such. I've known many people exploited by faceless people that way. I still don't want to verify my face either. This is a last resort, and at least it lets me explain myself properly.

When i was 17 i was walking around the park with my mum and my sister while the latter was getting to hang out with all her friends. I kind of wandered aimlessly, queued for a few things like the swings and stuff. Then someone called the police and told them I was a paedophile staring at children. They were embarrassed when they turned up to arrest a 17 year old, but still... now I'm old, not only have i lost all my friends but i can't go to the park and exercise. I'm paranoid to walk around on my own.

Most groups we've tried to find have been people at least 5 years younger, no one has responded to my mum reaching out...

I'm fucking sick of it, i can't be bothered to write any more, fuck you

Weird Idea

My kids and me (and their friends) enjoy messing around on weekends with those cheap sets of walkie-talkies, running around in our garden and the surrounding area (it's very rural) being soldiers, playing a kind of high-brow hide-&-seek-tag. I might also look into airsoft at some point. I'm not a radio enthusiast to be honest, consider me extremely amateur, but i though of an odd idea which i need some advice on:

We obviously have a few computers inside our house. My idea is that i could set up my son's PC and my daughter's to broadcast on a radio frequency to the walkie-talkies. When we're messing around together they could then be the sort of military command centres. Someone could be at "base camp" on the computer looking at Google maps or whatever and communicating to the others and planning nerf gun raids and stuff. It's just slightly cooler than doing a multiple participant Discord call, and it means we don't have to worry about running around and losing our phones. If it's easy i may as well do it.

I heard about PCI/e FM radio receivers for computers and i wonder if it would incorporate something like this?

I'm worried though if such an organised setup as this could be legally dubious in the UK (I'm in Wales).

I'm sure anything you guys could say about this would fascinate me and I'd love to hear about it
