What are you favorite beaches for easy on and off with toddlers?

I’m looking for beaches that are easy to get on/off with toddlers. I know a lot of people recommend going to the bay with toddlers, but I’d rather go to the beach.

I used to live near Lavallette and loved the easy access onto the beach and that the bay was right in walking distance if I wanted to head there as well. Is there anything like that in Monmouth County?

ETA: I live in Monmouth County, so I’m looking for great beaches that we can go to all summer.

Tell me where to have breakfast tomorrow morning on my last day here!

I’ve already tried The Mad Batter (didn’t love) but I think that was my fault because I had a feeling oatmeal pancakes weren’t for me. My toddler and husband loved it there!

I’ve also tried The Blue Pig Tavern. I loved the place so much I went back twice for breakfast and then for lunch. Everything tasted so fresh and not super heavy.

I need one more recommendation before we head home! TIA!

Can I walk to Chez Michael from Washington Street Mall? Are there sidewalks?

Is this doable? Before I had a toddler in a stroller I’d just go for it and hope for the best. But now that I don’t want to risk anyone getting hit by oncoming traffic I want to make sure it’s a safe walk. Are there sidewalks? I tried to look on Google Maps but it’s hard to tell. I’d ideally not have to drive at all during my stay.

Sapore or Iccara for Italian food?

I’m a vegetarian, my husband and toddler aren’t the most adventurous eaters so we tend to always eat Italian when we choose a restaurant. Which one of these is better? Or is there another one I’m missing? I’m really open to any good Italian food!

I want to buy my 4 year old his first bike but I don’t want to spend more than $200

My son keeps asking for a bike. I have some of the best memories riding bikes with my family as a kid and I love riding as an adult. I’m so excited that my son feels ready for his first bike. I’ve looked into bikes and I feel like there are so many options. He’s a tiny guy (only 40 inches and 30 pounds) so I need something he’ll do well on. I can’t see dropping more than $200 on a bike for a 4 year old. Is there anything out there that’s decent for $200 or less?

Looking for a few recommendations for restaurants, bakeries and coffee

Typically we only take day trips to Cape May, but decided to plan a very impromptu mini vacation next week. What are your favorite restaurants especially with a picky toddler, any Italian food that’s really good? Favorite bakeries? Me and my toddler love a good pastry! And where can I get my morning coffee?

How is Cape May this time of the year? Is everything open?

I live in NJ and we go every year to Cape May. We live about 2 hours away so we usually plan a day trip during the summer. My husband took the week off in 2 weeks to go away internationally, but I canceled and kind of just want to take a close by relaxing trip instead.

I wanted to stay close to Washington Street Mall so we can walk everywhere. How is everything this time of the year? Is everything open? My toddler loves to just play in the sand at the beach this time of the year so we’ll probably just be doing a lot of that, relaxing and eating lol

Should I cancel my plans to travel to Canada in the next week because of the Andes virus?

Sorry in advance if I sound crazy. I have terrible health OCD so this is making me spiral a little. Should be super scared to travel? We are supposed to travel to Canada from the US next week. I can cancel. But should?

I’m going to be honest I know nothing about bags but I saw this one at my local Madewell store and I have some discounts for my birthday. I’d only have to put out $45 for it. Is it worth it?

I dont know what I want to do. I’m trying to get ideas. It was just my birthday last week and my husband planned the best day with all of my favorite activities so there’s not much left for me to do. I’m thinking something geared more towards our whole family including my 4 year old like the zoo or a park.

My son is still a new 4. He’s not in school yet besides his daily classes like swim, nature class etc. me and my husband want to start teaching him to pick up his toys. We’ve tried the if you take one out you put one back but it doesn’t always works if I’m not in his playroom with him reminding him. So I’m thinking we implement a “cleaning hour” where our entire family cleans the house to get it ready for the next day. Obviously I don’t expect him to clean for an hour nor do I think he needs an hour. What do you do think is a good amount of time I could realistically get him to focus for?

We’re going on 2 long drives coming up (one 6.5 hours and the other 17 hours). I need ideas on ways to keep my 4 year old busy in the car. We have an iPad as a break in case of emergencies, but I like to keep him busy with as many activities as I can before I give him the iPad.
