coming out to myself has upped my style game dramatically

once i realized i wasn’t into men, i stopped dressing for their validation (thanks comphet)! it’s been so freeing. i will be exclusively dressing for the girls, gays, and theys (and most importantly, for myself) from here on out:)

went to a gay club to have fun with other queer people, got nonstop harassed by 30 y/o men instead

i’m so disappointed. i don’t get the opportunity to go to a lot of queer spaces because of where i live and the crazy time demands of my job. went out last night looking to have fun in a place i thought was safe and just ended up getting groped and hit on by creepy older men all night. it doesn’t help that i recently got broken up with by a woman whom i was deeply in love with, so the last time i was touched like that it was by someone i felt safe with. why do we have to deal with bullshit like this. i tried my hardest to avoid guys all night. i was wearing earrings with scissors on them for fucks sake. it didn’t matter.

i feel like i’m not clocking as lesbian, help

dressing up has always been a really big outlet for self expression but i feel like i don’t look particularly “gay.” i work in an environment that is highly populated with people who are straight and christian. when i go out with my coworkers i don’t really want to be lumped in with that crowd. idk maybe i’m getting way too in my head about it
