12m old FPIES to dairy… should I hold out on completely weaning breastfeeds?

Baby is almost 12 months and is almost completely weaned (led by bub). I think if I stopped offering breastfeeds she would be happy to move to solids only. She has always rejected dairy free formula.

Without cows milk or dairy free formula alternative should I keep breastfeeding for its nutrient value? Are there vitamins / minerals she can’t access or absorb through her regular solids diet?

Note - we have an appointment with immunologist in a month where I expect to start dairy ladder (I assume) but I’m not sure how long my milk will hold out so looking for advice from other parents with dairy free bubs please - what did you do or would you do in my position?

Baby car seat rental - separate agency or through car hire?

Hi, we are travelling to Maui with our 9 month old. We will be hiring a car and I’m trying to work out if it’s better to reserve a car seat through the car hire company (ie budget / avis) or via 3rd party (Maui on the Fly or Maui baby rentals).

Not an option to bring our seat with us (we are coming from overseas so I’m not sure it would be compliant anyway).

Has anyone done this and can recommend an option? Thanks!

Best tasting dairy free formula?

Baby has FPIES to dairy so can’t have any cows milk or goat milk based formulas. I’m breastfeeding but as bub is 9 months and I’m returning to work would love to have the option of giving a bottle of formula occasionally!

So far we’ve tried Karicare Soy and Alula Allergy (rice based). Baby rejects both even at 50/50 breastmilk mix. The taste is so strong!!!

Anyone have any other recs for dairy free formulas that don’t taste like shit?
