HomeLibraries is back!

After a brief respite, the mods are happy to announce that the subreddit is back open! We’ve implemented a few new tools that will hopefully help keep the sub running smoothly, but the biggest change of all is multi-member mod team spanning several timezones!

We’re excited to see your home libraries, and invite you to double check the rules before posting.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions, comments or suggestions.

The larger ones were grown indoors hydroponically, the small green and purple ones were grown outside in soil. (They were really tiny, but I was just trying to thin out some of my plants.)

Dinner was crispy sheet pan noodles with glazed tofu from ny times.

I need to weed and mulch this weekend, but I’m happy with how they’re coming along!

Piccadilly in the middle, Caraflex on the outside.

Last summer I dyed some yarn for a sweater for my kid… then I did nothing on the project until a Monday afternoon last month when I was informed they were supposed to wear school colors on Friday, and “did you ever start on that sweater?”

The kid had (of course) grown since I did my yarn estimates for dying and I was didn’t have enough green to do the original plant of green body and sleeves and yellow ribbing, so I had to do a bit of math to figure out how short I was going to be and add in yellow stripes.

The sweater was done by Friday morning and worn, but needed major surgery because my cast off was too tight and it was a pain to get over this kids gigantic head without stretching out. I ended up doing some sergery (surgery with a serger) and cut off the cast-off rows and serged a new neckband on.

Successfully went from “did you ever start that sweater” to completed sweater in 3 days on my e6000 with a bunch of math and swearing in between. Yarn in Huntington sock yarn from Webs, dyed with acid dyes from prochem.
