Started a new run recently and there's a Temporal Rift in The Nearby Plains. I haven't seen one of these in a LONG time. Or are they often there and I just wasn't paying attention in previous runs?
I was trying to knock out at least one of these (Elizabeth) before ascending (before being completely distracted by the Time-Twitching Tower.
Is it possible to lose your place in these quests? I swear I have followed the path from the KoL Wiki, but the last time I hit the ballroom, I didn't have the option to dance by myself.
Maybe I missed the last one since I keep bouncing back and forth? I don't see anything about having to do every adventure in a row, that really wouldn't be consistent with other KoL quests.

At the end of the Mage Examination arc, we see that Fern asked for a spell to launder clothes, proving she really is Frieren's student.
Do we ever learn what the other mages ask for? I wondered if Methode got that red-spheres-of-doom spell that she uses in Season 2 as her reward, but it's not explicit. Maybe it's just something she could do already, along with mana dectection, hypnosis, healing, and backflips.
