Rear spring preload setting

I bought my NX500 new but can't seem to locate the pin spanner tool that allegedly was under the seat to adjust the rear spring preload. I read the factory setting was usually at 2 out of 9, on the softer end.

I am 5'10" and 225# and would like to play around with stiffening it up, is this something that is doing to make much of a difference? If I am able to find a tool that will work, can it be adjusted without having a center stand setup?

One month in :)

I purchased a used electric NIU scooter locally (who bought from the local Vespa shop) but after riding it a week, I knew I wanted more than a silent gliding 50cc equivalent. Still super fun though!

This 2021 GTS 300hpe with only 500 miles was for sale at another bike shop in town so I decided to add to the fleet lol. This thing is so fun, I've been getting used to the extra power and have my motorcycle safety course in a couple of weeks.

QUESTION: I'm approaching the 1000-mile "break-in" service...5 years after manufacture... but ran a tank of non-ethanol "super clear" premium recently, and toward the end of the tank, experienced low idling and several engine kills at stop lights when commuting to work. It started right back up each time, but after refilling with standard premium fuel, it seems to have alleviated the low idling and engine hasn't shut off at stops. Any thoughts on what might be linked to that symptom?

Any thoughts are appreciated, but I'm happy to be a part of the gang 🤠
