Sleep Questions

Is my Instinct 3 Solar only showing sleep from midnight for some reason? What if I go to sleep at 10pm?

Also why is there no way to shut off the automatic sleep thing? I have mine set to one minute from 12.59pm to 1pm every day.

Avoiding Sitting Down, Standing Motivation Setup

A good office chair seems to beg me to sit down. So... I've been working on a setup that motivates me to stand. I realize it's a ridiculous amount of toys but here it is. The high chair is really great. It actually makes me feel like I could sit in it but it's so uncomfortable I don't wanna sit in it and I end up standing. The jump box gives me a ledge to put my leg up, which I really like. The wobble board(s) are optional.

[I posted this on another SD group on Reddit, too]

Standing Desk Motivation: Avoiding The Chair

The high chair is really great. It actually makes me feel like I could sit in it but it's so uncomfortable I don't wanna sit in it and I end up standing. The jump box gives me a ledge to put my leg up, which I really like. The wobble board(s) are optional, and I don't use the triangle thing at all.

[Happy!] Came from Apple Watch Ultra 2 to Garmin Instinct 3 Solar 45mm

I wore an Apple Watch since 2014. I got the Ultra, then the Ultra 2, and recently downgraded to the Series 11, but the Apple Watch always bothered me. The touch screen is just all wrong. A watch shouldn't have a touch screen, in my opinion, and it shouldn't look like a computer. Also it shouldn't need charging every 1, 1.5, nor 2 days. The charging thing seems trivial but limit situations keep popping up that are important (recent week+ disconnected trip, etc.).

The Garmin Instinct 3 Solar reminds me of my Casio G-Shock with a lot more features. I've been wearing it for two weeks and I've only charged it once — it's still over 50%. I'm sure it won't stay this good forever, but the battery life is amazing, and that's only part of it. I now sleep with my watch on always, with Always-On Display running, which on the Apple Watch was always a toggle-off-to-save-battery kind of choice.

The LED flashlight is insanely powerful and good. The quick button access is great. The stopwatch is legit — it can show multiple laps and the overall time at once, which the Apple Watch always sucked at. I can leave the thing on any display for hours and it won't switch if I want to keep monitoring steps or a workout. I've customized most of the settings to work exactly how I want. It can even record naps. I'm so glad to be done with the Apple Watch and love the Garmin Instinct 3.

Find My Phone is great, but you have to remember to open the Garmin app after a phone restart (!). Vibration alarms and all that are first class (and I've configured my watch for zero audible beeps, ever).

The only thing is I liked one of the color options on the Instinct 2 — the white case with white band. I hope they bring that back eventually, but aside from that, this is awesome and I won't be going back.
