I love this place it’s cute, friendly staff, decent food and matcha. I got Wagyu sando and strawberry matcha maybe $30ish.

Photo has bad lighting but actually a really decent burger, I really enjoyed it. Big onion ring, bbq sauce, smashed patty $16.
Interested to try their other burgers now!!! Quite a cool menu with a good range of selection.
I’m a chicken tenders enthusiast so I tried both Flappy’s and Papa Flock recently.
Both chicken tenders are very good actually, if I have to pick I think Papa Flock’s chicken is softer. And I like that at Papa Flock they have a self served station where you can get hot sauce, pickles, honey etc. Papa flock seems to be slightly cheaper than Flappy’s, and got nicer lemonade too.
Flappy’s toast (softer and more buttery bread than papa flock) and Sauce reminded me of raising cane’s in the US a lot more than Papa Flock though. The chips also nicer cuz I like crinkle cut.

Hi all it’s me again hijacking the subreddit with my food pictures and average at best reviews.
I am actually from NZ and I don’t get why Sydney is full of gelato places everywhere but not a lot of ice cream shop places….Duck island, our nz national treasure if you see this post please come to Sydney.
Soooo I tried Rivareno’s strawberry fields flavour recently and then the FIOR DI FRAGOLA from Messina. They are both new special flavours and are both strawberry ones (I imagine cuz it’s warmer and strawberries are cheap now). The Rivareno’s one got a strong strawberry taste, the gelato itself was nice and soft ($7.58AUD). The one from Messina was like a milk flavour with a hint of strawberry. Both were good desserts. No complaints.
The other flavour from Messina was conception, it tasted like caramel popcorn lol. I just wanted a cone flavoured one because I miss the Americone Dream ice cream I had from Ben & Jerry’s in the US so bad!!!! The tub I got was like $19 for 500ML. It’d be nice if they change the container because the lid was VERY HARD to open.
Another banh mi post from me. I understand why people say it’s the best, even better than the one I went in Liverpool. The banh mi was very yummy and only $9.5 with an abundance of roast pork. 10/10 would recommend.
My Asian mum said it’s not too sweet and it’s good, very thick so more filling than tiramisu. She rates it lol.
Lots of toppings (they kept falling off), would recommend!! The mayo was v tasty too.
One day I’ll make it to Banh mi Phuong 18 then I can find out which one’s better!!
Apparently wang mart has it. Highly recommend. You can have it with milk or without (with milk is better). My fridge is fully stocked with these now lolll
I don’t know how the place got super high rating. I got chicken and waffles and the waffle was cold (also gave off frozen waffles vibes from Woolies). Also had short rib and it was lukewarm. Cute matcha art but matcha didn’t taste like matcha.
(This visit was a few months ago FYI I am just clearing food pictures on my phone🤣🤣.)

Their fried chicken is sooooo yummy!!!!!!!
The pork belly bao bun was too fatty for me, if you like fat, def go for it.
Also tried their mango slushy-like cocktail and was very delicious.
Friendly staff, pretty good spot for a bite.

Ok so Texas chicken was advertising all you can buffet for today and I was gonna book for my mum and her friend cuz it seemed interesting for $19.99 per person. Then my mum said no because she said usually she buys $10 worth and she’s full. Then I saw that they were doing a giveaway so I tagged maybe 3-5 aucklandeats friends and somehow I won HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA this is so funny🤣😭…
So my mum and her friend currently there now and took lots of pics so I thought I’d share with you guys 🤣🤣🤣. Apparently quite a lot of customers cuz there was a line outside!!! Then they have lots of fried chicken (original, tenders, wings), potato n gravy, honey buns, chips etc. I think people who pay can pay extra to have unlimited dessert too from memory. I’ll update when they finish to report how much they manage to eat.
