Would running 14t or 13t pinion help with LVC and low runtimes and keep motor and ESC temps down? I know I'd loose some top speed but it's for my kids so that might actually be a plus. Would it be a worthy change?

How good are the 665 brushed motors, and how long will the brushed motor last in the brushed granite. It's on sale right now. Debating on getting that for my son and then upgrading it to brushless in the future. Or is it just better to buy the 223s version and get it over with. Especially if the brushed motor in the 665 version will die in just a few packs.

Looking to get my son a decent RC. Something big enough to go through grass and jump a bit but nothing crazy. These are the two I'm most looking at right now any thoughts on these or something better?

Is there still an issue with the ESC in the big rock? Cutting out for LVC, really low run times, or just straight up dying? Looking at getting my oldest kid an RC and I really liked what I've seen about the big rock, other than what I've seen about the ESC issue....
