Considering Short contact (therapy) with tret, same anti-aging benefits?

Hi everyone! I’m a 26F and I’ve been using tret (0.05%) for around 6 months now and it has really helped with my acne as someone who has always suffered with severe acne. Thing is, I’ve recently become increasingly aware of the risk of tret migration to the eyes at night. I have already switched to applying tret to clean, dry skin without any moisturizer for the last 2 months, my skin tolerates it well. I also take care not to apply tret around the orbital area or the nose bridge. However, over night tret still poses a risk, one that I’m not willing to take when it’s concerning permanent eye damage.

To come to the point, I am now considering short contact therapy (SCT) with tret, applying it onto clean, dry skin for 1-2 hours before washing it off and going to bed. I’ve seen some anecdotes of users who’ve tried SCT and seem to get the same clear skin benefits. However, I was wondering if I’ll receive the same anti-aging benefits with SCT? I would really appreciate if anyone has any insight or research links! Thank you <3

Switched tret use to nightly from every other day, getting a lot of redness in the morning, should I continue?

Hello! I’m a 26F who has been using tret for the last 3 and a half months. I had built up my tolerance to every other day but then a week back, I decided to switch to nightly use because while I’ve seen good improvements in my skin, progress is still slow even though I’m almost 4 months in. I still get acne when I indulge a little in chocolates/sweets which is something I thought wouldn’t happen a lot once the tret set in but I guess that’s another issue. The thing is, ever since I switched to nightly use, I’ve seen that when I wake up in the morning and put on moisturizer my cheeks get really red and irritated. I then put Avene cicalfate and in a while, it calms down and goes back to normal. I should also mention that when I put the tret on at night, it doesn’t make my face red or anything. It’s only when I’ve washed my face with water and put on moisturizer in the morning. I’m unsure of whether I should continue with nightly use with the hope that I will build tolerance with each passing day? But at the same time, it does feel counter intuitive :( And I’m scared of pushing it too far and developing some form of dermatitis or ruining my barrier or something. I would love to hear from anyone else who had a similar reaction and if they stopped or pressed on

For reference:

I only wash my face with water in the morning. And the moisturizer I use is Physiogel Calming Relief AI Cream. It’s gentle and the formulation is incredibly simple. It’s very hydrating also. My skin has always responded well to it.

Additionally, I apply tret to dry skin without any moisturizer (spare for some around the eyes). I find that this is the best way since I haven’t experienced any flaking/peeling with tret and applying with moisturizer increases the risk of the tret migrating to the eyes and causing dry eye, a risk that I am not willing to take at all.

Does journaling about fears/doubts/misgivings affect manifestation outcomes?

I’ve really taken to journalling in the past few weeks and I find that penning all of my thoughts, emotions, and happenings on paper have really REALLY helped me in becoming a calmer and more grounded person. It has also helped me identify patterns and underline things for self improvement. The thing is, I’ve also become increasingly interested in manifestation and I worry if journaling about my worries or misgivings will actually lead to manifesting said fears in my 3D. Or keep me from manifesting the things I want. This partly comes from my belief that everything holds energy, including words. To people who have manifested successfully and also journal, do you consciously avoid writing about your doubts/worries? I would love to know. I don’t really want to stop writing about my feelings since it does help me to vent :( But I do worry as well

Pending Decisions

Anyone still waiting on decisions from these masters programs for WiSe 2026?

-HWR Berlin-International Business and Consulting-Strategic Management

-Leuphana University Luneberg-Management and Entrepreneurship

For HWR Berlin, my status has been valid for more than a month. I’ve heard the first wave of admissions has rolled out but I’m wondering if anyone knows when the second wave will start.

For Leuphana University, the portal says formal entry requirements + academic entry requirements are met but there is no overall decision yet. I’ve seen some people get admits for this program on this subreddit as well, but I’m wondering if decisions are still rolling out.

It’d be really helpful to know if anyone received admits/rejections recently for these programs! Hoping everyone who is waiting receives good news soon ❤️
