Hi everyone! I’m looking for some perspective as a cis woman. I don’t want to take over this space, but I thought I’d reach out to hear some of your opinions or advice. I’ll start by saying that I recognize many cis women have played a role in violence against vulnerable people throughout U.S. history. While cis women are still a vulnerable group ourselves, we also can’t deny that many cis women are transphobic, racist, and xenophobic.
That being said, I’ve been active in progressive political groups lately, and I’ve started noticing that several cis men in leadership positions at this leftist organization speak down to cis women and say that we cause more harm to trans women than cis males. One guy literally said that cis women make women’s bathrooms a violent or unsafe place for trans women. In the group, the cis women seem to be the ones that intentionally include our trans group members in dinners, workshops, and just fun group activities than the cis men do.
Part of me wonders whether rhetoric like this, when presented without nuance, is intentionally pitting women against each other because it could limit their patriarchal power? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
I’m at 32F. I fell like have my routine down for the most part but I am suffering from dull and scaly undereyes and dryness throughout my face.
