I always find it funny how easy it is to 1 shot most people with a shotgun than to mag dump with Assault rifles in this game. It really feels like a cheat code running Shotguns.
I found me a deal on a BC CECHE01 but upon arrival the disc drive stopped working. The disc drive wouldn't spin discs when inserted so I took it apart did some diagnosing and decided to replace the deck laser assembly. Ordered the part for 38$ and had it installed once it arrived, fiddled around with the PS3 and the drive works Now I start to dissembled the PS3 completely apart to clean and delid the RSX & CELL with the Delid Tool and Delid Blade. Very easy to use and literally took me 2 minutes. If you know how to use an edge this will be a breeze just take your time. The old thermal paste was extremely dry so I cleaned the surface and had it replaced with new MX-4 and put everything together as well a CPU thermal brace and now its time to Jail Break. Just want to say thanks for all the info on the sub reddit on here extremely helpful especially during troubleshooting. Also again to the Sellers and Modders out here for providing many resources for preserving these legendary consoles.
