Does anyone remember the group ‘Eskimo blonde’ - a girl called Harri and her friends, both named Gemma. They made it to judges houses, and Simon decided he only liked Harri really and they were sent home.

A year later, they all re-auditioned (Harri by herself and the girls with a new member). Harri was the only one to get through.

Do we know what happened with Harri after that? Did she ever pursue music? She really did have a distinct voice, but I can never find anything about her after the second audition.

I’ve been in this sub for about 2 years now, and I can confidently say that this is my go-to place for book recs and discussions. I’ve given up entirely on listening to booktok, because they use the term ‘dark romance’ as false advertisement because they know it will bring in the readers. I’m still part of a few Facebook groups, but over there I do often see people being judged for requesting certain materials.

I just want to say that this sub is such a lovely community - I definitely refer to it as my ‘safe space’. I’ve received so many amazing recs via this sub, both through my own requests and seeing requests from others. And it’s just so refreshing to see that people are capable of being open about what they want to read without others making them feel bad for it. Dark romance is still heavily frowned upon by the general public, and I’m glad that we have each other’s backs here.

Overall, just wanted to express my love for this sub, and every one of you who are part of it 🖤

As title says, in need of more standalones because I’ve been reading a lot of series recently and I feel like I want to give attention to more books before continuing more series, if that makes sense.

Favourite tropes:

- enemies to lovers/forbidden love

- morally black mmcs/stalkers

- captured fmc is a favourite, so long as she isn’t annoying and fighting back constantly
