Post removed: Finding a new daily driver

Since my daily driver "HeyDay Night Gelato" turned to absolute shit, my doctor gave me a few new options to try today to find a replacement to stick with. I am no way shape or form a strain hunter, I don't actually like having more than 2 strains in my rotation because I'm a sensitive little bitch. Treating chronic spinal/sciatica nerve pain, major depressive disorder/anxiety and sleep.

So far the "Avani Pineapple Express" looks like absolute shit, basically all stems. The "Alfie Moonwalker" smells great but for a "new release" looks pretty old and dead. Price on the sol was up there, can afford that going forward. Haven't opened the others, hoping someone has tried them.

Alfie Moonwalker 10g/$129
- Aroma: 8/10
- Quality: 7/10 very dense nugs, with quite a few mini nugs. No excessive stems is a +
- Flavour: 2/10 Very dry without much flavour at all.
- Effects: 7/10 not EXACTLY what I was looking for but pretty damn close. Very indica dominant that shouldn't set off anxiety. Enough for relief but won't get the job done alone. Great for daytime for users like me that don't do well with sativa. Would recommend but price isn't sustainable for most.

Avani Pineapple Express 10g/$110
- Aroma: 0/10 none
- Quality: 1/10 some of the worst I've seen in a while. More stem than flower and VERY bone dry
- Flavour: 0/10 tastes like dirt and stem
- Effects: 4/10 might be good some, but it was abit to heady for me even at such low %. Not anxiety inducing but it's definitely more uplifting than what I prefer. Wouldn't recommend due to quality alone.

If anyone's had experience with any of these, how did they go? I get anxiety trying new strains, not knowing what to expect. Especially when the thc% gets higher. I prefer low THC hence the Alfie and Avani.

Cannot thank my GI Specialist enough!

As some of you may have read from me, I was lucky that my specialist went to bat with the medical board of Australia to get my rifaxamin subsidised for $25-$31.50

While I'm very well treated, he said to use this time to gather some stock for maintenance doses over the coming years. To my disbelief, he went even further and got it reduced to $7.70! This is real xifaxan, not a compounded product. God I wish it was this price before I spent $6500 worth of rifaxamin over the past few years 😂.

Discussion: Treated, not cured?

I may only speak for myself but I'm starting to think this cannot be fully "cured". Treatable? Absolutely! But with so many different underlying root causes and how different all our bodies are, I feel like SIBO isn't something that can be permanently erased from your body (as in you will always have some dietary issue, transit time issue, sensitivities etc). At the moment, I'd like to say I'm "cured" but in hind sight I think I'm just "treated". I live pretty SIBO symptom free, but my god do I have so many restrictions.

I don't know, just food for thought.

El Camino pgr or not?

I saw a post the other day saying only one of the strains said "PGR Free". can anyone clarify this?

Besides Facetz, are the rest full of PGR? Or have they decided to start adding "PGR Free" and Facetz was the first new relabel?

TIA xx

Opposite of tub flex. Heyday turned to shit.

I don't consume a lot of MC anymore due to health reasons but still get some for emergencies. Been getting the heyday outdoor grown for a while now and it's been a staple on my scripts, always chunky. Ever since cannatrek bought them out, it has turned to absolute shit. Like what is this for $120... dryer than Uluṟu.

Tubs also changed to the cannatrek cheap plastic. Effects are still alright but from the budget options I've seen on here, I would go for those before this. Wouldn't recommend.

Very helpful app

*Not affiliated with this company whatsoever*

Long time water based printer here. My printing and end product itself comes out fine (zero fading after 600+ washes). My biggest issue was the art/design part (I'm not crazy good with adobe apps). This app has helped me a lot hey. Instead of outsourcing designs and vectors, I hope that this will keep everything more in house.

Anyone remember the OG tasbot? *OLD PHOTO*

Not a tub flex, genuinely curious if anyone else enjoyed tasbot back then? The highlands and amethyst back then was pretty alright from memory

Anyone remember how shocking the emerald was? 😂😂😂

Scored the last one at Dispensary!

I saw the post last night advising of the recipe change and added pectin and MCT. I'm allergic to MCT so you better believe I got in the blower as soon as I woke up. Dispensary had 1 left of the old recipe.

Does anyone have any recommendations to substitute this going forward?

My entire GI tract is destroyed, I live off a feeding tube so my options are limited. I had to quit smoking and vaping as a result also (by quit I mean full time. Once or twice a week I'll cave and have a ball vape if I can't sleep or the pain becomes too much. Some weeks I have none)

Not sure about the details, but was just on an Aussie tv ad.

Has anyone tried the original way back?

As per title, I'm unsure really what NDIS is fully for but a few of my doctors have mentioned it. A little background.

I'm a 29yo 6ft Male. I suffered a spinal injury in 2018 and took 3.5 years of rehab to walk again. I have secondary associated severe major depressive disorder that meds aren't really helping.

On top of that, I am dealing with oesophageal failure (over 70% of nerves dead, cannot swallow or hold down food), a destroyed gut/small intestine and am on a feeding tube indefinitely (Been in since November, refitting a new tube mid May). My specialist has said that I will most likely die soon if we cant find a way to fix my oesophagus. The chances are slim to none as a particular surgery is off the table.

Due to this, I went from 80kg, down to 49kg. I've managed to bring my weight up to 59kg but that's still under BMI and most days are a struggle when im stuck to a tube feed pump device. I'm privately paying for home IV therapy to top up vital supplements but my savings/house deposit from before my injury is dwindling to 0. I was just approved for the DSP as all my doctors have said I will never return work (I aim to find work I can tolerate, I genuinely want to work, I hate my restrictions and would much rather clean toilets than sit at home most days attending the specialists every week)

I can still drive, just no longer than 10-15 minutes before I loose all feeling in both my legs. While I can't eat, I can still do VERY light shopping for my partner that works full time for a roof over our heads (we don't receive much from DSP, around $300/fortnight). Other than that, I'm basically useless, wasting oxygen.

Is there any way the NDIS could help with my situation? or is it best to just come to terms that ill be dead in the next few years? no exaggeration, this is genuinely my life. I have not had a bite of food in 6 months. I cant even drink water.
