Why can't we disable insights or delete sleep records?

I have looked everywhere in the app but seem there is no option to disable the insights that keep popping up and have become very repetitive and pointless. How hard can it be to add a toggle for it for people who do not think these insights are useful? People who like can leave it enabled.

Also I can't seem to delete (faulty) sleep entries. It only lets me edit them down to 5 minutes but for some strange reason deleting naps is allowed. Why not let us delete both naps and sleep records? Why only naps?

Both of these things seem trivial "features" to add. None of the smart watches I owned before had companion apps that would not let you delete sleep or disable persistent notifications/spam on the Home Screen of the app.

Just give us choices. I must have left a dozen of thumbs down and also send a bunch of in app feedback regarding these two things.

Some brands like Fitbit/Google let you delete any record with any time frame you wish. Imagine hat, actual control over your data with a party like Google involved.

When can we see new BIOS updates fixing these on AMD systems? AMD has released info to manufactures months ago so they could prepare fixes before AMD makes it public. It is now public.

How do we get rid of these cards showing on top of everything else? I left a thumbs down feedback a lot of times now but its staying and if its not this one it's another card. Why force this down our throats without a way to remove or disable it? This is just spam.

So far this brand has been the most frustrating app experience I have had with a watch/tracker for hidden settings to turn off notifications to insights you can't disable and sleep records you can't delete...

The hardware is great, but the app. The app is just terrible, specially if you are new to it and have to dig so deep to disable notifications and some yo can only toggle on the watch itself. I tried to turn all notifications and reminders off yet I kept getting these progress reminders. There is setting in the app for those an after searching I found a post on this very subreddit that said you have go on to the watch, open the activity mini app, start it and then scroll all the way down and yes, there it was. Why isn't this in the app? Don't know.

Then there are the never ending "insights" which are anything but insightful and I consider them as spam now. I got a few in a row the other day. Every single day for several times I have to tap away multiple times"insights" just to see my other stats and get rid of it. Is there a toggle for this? Of course there isn't. Despite posts dating back years asking for this. I can't see myself using this app everyday fort years to come and every single day spend time tapping away useless insights. Why hasn't a toggle been added? How hard can it be?

Then there is sleep detection, it just sucks. It detects sleep if you sit on the toilet for too long or watch a movie lol. And the kicker is you are not "allowed" to delete the erroneous sleep records, of course you aren't. You can edit them down to 5 minutes and thats it. Don't like it? You can wipe all your data and start over. Only naps can be deleted but not sleep records.

I could go on but I am tired of myself complaining and will just return the watch because I don't see any of the above being fixed as they have been issues for years now. Amazfit just doesn't care. Why give users control?

I have had many brands and I have not ran into any apps that wouldn't let you delete sleep records. It is just so common for these things to mistakenly track sleep so they all let you delete sleep records. Amazfit only lets you delete naps. Because of reasons.

They do not have follow Fitbit/Google who will give you a gigantic list of data points you can select to delete data from for any time period you give it. But at least give us some control, but nope. Nothing. You get nothing.

The only way to make this watch usable and without getting spam notifications and spam "insights" is to use GadgetBridge which has its own flaws and isn't a proper solution either.

sorry for the rant, just feel very frustrated trying to use this watch and most likely I will just return it for my money back as I don't see any of these simple to fix issues be ctualyl fixed given they exist for so many years already. They know about these issues, they just don't care to fix them. That really says it all.

tl;dr great hardware ruined by a crappy app lacking user control over data and notifications/insights/etc

Downvoting me won't change the facts because nothing I mentioned is untrue. This is my honest unsalted review and I'm sorry if it offended some people.
