shopping for an hhkb - what domes and aftermarket parts to get?

i thought i'd give topre another try. so i'm on the market for items to build with it. i think i can get away with buying a base hhkb (no hybrid or type-s) with aftermarket parts.

- i think i can buy an aftermarket bluetooth controller (hasu?) if i want it which is nice because i can do away with the bump at the back

- a cipulot, or other remappable pcb, if i need it. does anyone have recommendations?

- if i can't find a cheap enough type-s, silencing rings. what's your favorite?

- 35g domes. i managed to find tiffany, others seem to like dynacap, not sure what the difference is. preserving hhkb tactility with lighter push for ergonomics would be nice

- planning on making it as silent as possible, so lube and sorbothane

two scuffs, one on left top lip (hard to see) and one on right middle

comes with 1/1 aespa back and default back.

aespa back has stripped side screws, going to take some work to redo

default back has something from sitting in plastic, could use a re-ano

entry level split keyboard with the requested specs?

the specs are:

  • hotswap
  • split backspace
  • row staggered

pretty much what i'm asking for is a normal keyboard with split backspace but split in half. i daily drive an hhkb studio.

one final nice-to-have would be a closed case, i like to deaden the sound of keyboards with foam.

a quick search shows me keebio products - sinc and quefrequency. any other recs?

dumb question, do any of you guys just drink a ton of water?

if i understand it right, volume eating works to keep you full by increasing volume.

this is has never worked for me, mostly because it takes effort to make decently large recipes that also taste okay.

so what i've started doing is eating macro friendly, tasty food and also drinking around a gallon of water a day. 5'8'' male, so this fills my stomach

thoughts? could i still benefit from volume eating?

title, don't like topre but like the portability of plastic cases and the layout

edit: *does such a thing exist

edit 2: i already have a studio but my goal is to reduce sound. i'd like to put foam in and mod it to my liking. the studio has like 7 different parts and is a pita to modify, do not recommend it

my current desk setup. criticism/thoughts appreciated.

don't really use the right monitor (vertical isn't my thing), so switching to stacked probably.

don't really use the laptop screen either, so probably looking to get a side-desk holder or something. any recs?

edit: btw the monitors are lg ultrafine 5k's, got them on facebook marketplace for cheap. so not sure if getting a dock is worth esp if i'm not sure it can handle the bandwidth

bag for work and gym, without plastic bags to cover shoes and sweaty clothes?

i had a coworker many years back who would use the same bag for gym and work. i'm looking to do the same now. the thing is, my current setup is a regular work bag that holds 2 laptops, notebook, etc, and a gym bag with slippers, sweaty clothes plastic bags. i probably wouldn't want to do that for a gym bag.

how do you guys address this?

edit: what i need is to get rid of plastic bags for clothes. once i address that, and my gym bag isn't enough, I can think about a new gym bag

mid 20's asian male. had pretty severe cystic acne along my cheeks and cheekbones.

it's recovered now, but i'm left with scarring. people assume i'm older because of my poor skin quality. when my sleep is dialed in and i have a lot of sunscreen on it's less noticeable, but in arid states and after a long day it sucks to look in the mirror

i'm privileged that cosmetics are one of my bigger problems in my life. but it does suck. rant over

i should probably look into lasers or surgery. if you have other tips to reduce the appearance of scarring let me know
